I hope this is a success.....and it goes national and international!

If anybody can define why this scene is what it is.............spread the word..............and ensure it continues for years to come.

if you can, let us all know how it went Steve

Very good.  Not what you'd call a soul crowd, probably a lot of literary types there, it being part of a book festival.  Stuart was introduced by a presenter from BBC Radio Cumbria, who asked a few questions of his own.  The author concentrated primarily on Young Soul Rebels, but did a preamble on Detroit 67, and its connection to the new book.  Stuart read a few extracts from the book, gave a bit of background on himself, how he got into the scene, told a few anecdotes about his experiences as a soul fan, record collector, student and author.  Don't want to go into any specifics in case Stuart has plans to hold further audiences, but I would imagine he's got countless tales to tell, and would tailor things to suit the audience, based around the Q & A session at the end.  Found it entertaining and informative, and also quite emotional in parts.  Thoroughly recommended, and looking forward to the new book, Memphis 68.
