Posted December 20, 200618 yr This is a massive long shot...I'm trying to ID a record with very little to go on apart from these snippets... 1) It was on John Manship's auction about 12-18 months ago, described as a mega-rare one-off studio acetate 2) I'm pretty sure that Soul Sam played it at Sheridans in August, so maybe it was he who won the auction? 3) Its a full-on traditional NS dancer with ALL the right ingredients. Instant floor-filling material. That's all I can tell you - any clues anyone? Cheers Pete

Cheers Pete There was a thread on here about it at the time of the Manship auction so you might find it by trawling through. Can't remember too much about it myself other than that it was thought Sam bought it (think it went for £2,000 +) and was owned by another well-known DJ (retired?), but can't remember who.

December 20, 200618 yr Something like "Ten Good Reasons Why I Love You" by any chance? That one was an uncredited Dick James acetate, Gene. It's actually by Nancy Holloway. I tried letting John M know, but I couldn't remember the title at the time. She had a minor hit with it in France (in French). Sean
