Bobby Cutchins any time for me !!!  Sings, feels & groove in tune with soul much ease with the tune.

Jesse is more a tricky piece of disco re-work requiring to figure out what happened to the tune...

Evidently this second verse is a less simple or a happy tale to my ears. Musically at least.
