February 2, 200718 yr Heard a record by him called Sad Sad Way (?) - same backing as Sidras Theme. Can anyone shed any light on this ( can't find it listed) TIA Julian Seem to remember it was recorded in the early 90s in a hotel room in Tokyo... could have been having my leg pulled though... wouldn't be the first time. Another track was recorded at the same time with the same backing as 'Happiness Is Here'. If you listen carefully you can hear a phone ringing about half way through... aparantly.. as this wasn't supposed to happen Larry had to ad lib for the remainder of the song... did quite well i reckon too. Both great tunes... and hear 'Sad Sad Day' played out quite a lot.

February 2, 200718 yr Author Thanks for the information everyone. Reason for asking, was that I was playing a what I thought was a blank B side of a 45 to a LP track only I had cut to play out, and this track has been cut on the B side!) The strange world on Northern Soul !! Gonna play it at Barrow in Furness Charity do tomorrow night. Julian
February 2, 200718 yr It was recorded in Dave Burton's flat in Hong Kong (I think). I think there were 4 tracks done. You can hear a phone go off in one of the Larry Hammond tracks and Larry starts ad libbing. Oops just read Joans bit about the phone. I have an e-mail somewhere telling the story.
