I don’t think anyone’s mentioned the sad passing of Hedley Lawson last week, a well known figure at soul venues around the country.

Hedley was a real character, the tales of his exploits were legendary and he will be missed by so many people. He raised many thousands of pounds for charities over the years and wrote two books including an autobiography. He was also well known for being the older brother of Pete Lawson who is also sadly no longer with us.

Hedleys funeral will be held on Friday 19th November at Ormskirk Parish Church at 11am and afterwards at Ormskirk Cricket Club. 
RIP Hedley, a life lived to the full.

Thanks for that Tony. Sad news indeed. Nice fella and a very  snappy dresser. Will be much missed.

This week is becoming a bit of a challenge, 

Met Hedley back in the 80s when I use to travel here there and everywhere and back again with Pete , and drop him off at his mum's in Ormskirk , right up to the early 90s when my children where born and had to be a father, always banter and lots of piss taking , but always interesting , RIP Hedley ,,,

Very sad news. I'm going to miss being sat at my desk only to get a call saying Hedley was downstairs at reception. Always fun to be greeted with his latest escapades and adventures and almost never walked back to my office without sponsoring him. 

He will be missed by many xxx
