Posted February 28, 200718 yr hi all, picked up a copy of little anthony & the imperials - better use your head - veep picture sleeve off ebay for $22 bargain! looking though mr manship book were he values the picture sleeve £50, but noticed that the record design is the octagonal logo which he values at £60? so has anyone else have the p/s issue with this design, or the normal veep round yellow design could be this is not the original 45 for the sleeve? just interested for any feedback russ

March 1, 200718 yr Never quite understood the different label designs on Veep. Some of the releases are the full label hex design logo only - eg Timothy Wilson ; some have the coin sized hex logo only - eg Elbie Parker ; others are issued on both - eg Barbara Banks. Certainly the earlier releases on the label were full hexagonal design and the later releases were the coin sized logo ; maybe there was a transitional period with 2 different pressing plants issuing records - anyone educate me on this ? John

John Hi John That has always been my thought about the Veep Label. I believe that you are right. Early = full hexagonal design Later Releases = coin sized logo & A Transitional period between the two label designs. Almost 100% sure anyway Strange goings on sometimes, there was also the Red Circle ones, I don't know where they might fit into the story.
