March 15, 200718 yr I reckon this has got to be a hard one - E.H.F.Y.A stands for "East Harlem Flatbush Youth Association" Is that the one that was on ebay a few weeks ago? The seller put quite a write up on it. I had never hear of it until I saw it on ebay. It's the only VOEH record I don't have (I think), but, was a bit too pricy for me once I heard the soundclips.

March 15, 200718 yr This should be quite rare: MARVELLS This Can't Go On Northern Soul 45 on Yorey https://cgi.ebay.com/MARVELLS-This-Cant-Go-...1QQcmdZViewItem Bob Yorey's only release on the label he named after himself. He alledgedly had several labels with only one record on them though.

March 15, 200718 yr Its on the Elektra LP isn't it? Long March To Freedom? Voices Of East Harlem - Right on Be Free (1970) Right on Be Free Simple Song Of Freedom Proud Mary Music In The Air Oh Yeah For What It's Worth Let It Be Me No No No Gotta Be A Change Shaker Life Just been re-issued and available for about £9.50 from System Records (UK)
March 15, 200718 yr Author Its on the Elektra LP isn't it? Long March To Freedom? Yep, B-side is different on this to the French/UK issues, but is also on the LP. Was commenting on the rarity of the private press/1st press rather than the tracks availability on other labels/issues. Anyway, it's tucked in nicely next to my other V.O.E.H releases now.
March 15, 200718 yr Its on the Elektra LP isn't it? Long March To Freedom? Coincidence that. We've just been chatting elsewhere about when they appeared on Top of the Pops in 1970!
March 17, 200718 yr Coincidence that. We've just been chatting elsewhere about when they appeared on Top of the Pops in 1970! I seem to remember it being The Old Grey Whistle Test, they were doing Right On Be Free. also had others like--Bill Withers--doing Harlem, no less, Curtis Mayfield, Richie Havens etc. ATB Tony
March 17, 200718 yr ''Right On Be Free" / "No No No" is on Belgian and Dutch 45's....both with picture sleeves Cheers Paul
