Just out of interest following the Edwin - Donni debate thought I would put up a poll of who did the better version of When I feel the need.

I am probably in the minority but I feel Nick Ashfords is the better version of the two.

Here are the 2 versions. Judge for yourself

It has to be beautiful Marvin...

marvin every time for me.

Marvin on just about everything.

Does that make me one of the SS sheep that Pete was on about yesterday?

Without doubt it's Marvin for me. I never heard his version before! Is it from an LP or unissued? am pretty sure Marvin could sing a shopping list an make it sound soulful! biggrin.gif

thanx for posting this Craig! excellent tune to start the day wid!

Steve

definitely marvin. One of my fave tunes at the moment. Played it at the ritz and i was a very happy camper.

Um, i'm gonna say Nick. I just like a big horn section, and the backing singers are better. Gives me that nighter feeling just listening too it. It's more anthem-like than the Marvin version... not saying marvin's crap though..

M.
