Hello team,

please give me some feedback if anyone knows:
Is there a boot from:

‘Everybodys Dancin‘ w/ Thats A Friend’ (7210)

I got hold of a very cheap copy (stock), but I remember it differently.
The deadwax takes up almost half of the vinyl, the label is matt, no dh and the matrix is the same as described here.
I had a copy before and remembered it as much ‘heavier vinyl’, a slightly more glossy label and with not so thin, flexible vinyl.

Would be very cool if someone here could compare it with their copy.

Many thanks

Zanetti

Certainly looks like a modern reproduction. Not a record from 1964!   It doesn't look like any of my M-Pac records. A picture I found of an original.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, there are too many signs of a modern pressing.

Everything really seems far too up-to-date

I bought a Harold Burrage, Mountain Of Soul ,  M-pac , supposedly a Charly release last week , for £5.50 clearance sale , arrived in a white sleeve , instead of the usual brown Charly cardboard sleeve , looks exactly the same as a Charly product , good sound quality , looks the same but it looks and feels suspect , maybe I'm just being spooked .

Might or might not help but according to Discogs original is 1304-01-A 3018 ∫∫ matrix, so mastered at Sound Studios, Chicago. If it is a boot it would be hard to replicate ?

Harold Burrage, what a great artist understated  and underrated made some great music in his time top RnB Soul man of his time, could do up tempo , mid tempo, and great Soul ballads , amazing he,s been dead 58 years I’m just happy listening to him on any 45 he made LoL, Slipped Master Key on in my sets a good few times at Keele all niter in the early 1990,s, Anyway hope you get your answer on your question

Mick

Great new cd out on Jasmine of his pre MPac material and along with the Secret Stash cd that came out a few years ago is a reminder of how good he was. Died i. Tyrone Davis's garden of a heart attack

Great. I haven't looked at the whole ‘shop’.

it looks very suspiciously like a bootleg.
One advert also refers to ‘first pressing’ - and if you take a closer look, it is also correctly addressed to the buyer.
He largely dispenses with the term ‘original’

It looks the same as my copy which is definitely an original, matt label, wide runout. I always thought it was a cheap record, I doubt that I would have paid more than $5 for it.
