For me if a record is released because of demand by the Northern scene, then it shouldn't be played end of. British releases that were released not for the NS but because they had the rights, for

It's Clarkie who listed this 45 good guy...

It was never in doubt the sellers status , it was only the fact that buyers are buying Emidiscs wether djs or not that is why I mentioned it . So to the sales of carvers and disguising them that's all .

Its looks like a genuine Atlantic acetate with the Temptones cut on the blank flip, what a waste of a collectable piece.

I agree it is Djs.  They probably think there is some sort of authenticity to them if they are old. You can get two sides cut for £20/£30 so why spend more?

Not acetates or Emidiscs but interesting as to who is buying and why. There's a seller on ebay currently has a carver which he is upfront about of Because of My heart Frankie Beverly ,starting price £59.99. In a repro sleeve. he has even put pictures of auction results so potential buyers can compare the carver to the original. If you wanted a copy just to play at home why pay that price when there are two easily available versions for under £14.

Same seller a month ago had a very poorly done Motown Demo of Barbara Mcnair You're gonna love My Baby, in his description seller said he was unsure as it appeared to have hand typed cut out copied  labels applied. A one eyed man in a sandstorm couldn't have been fooled by it so to say he was unsure was disingenuous .A check of the Tmg number alone would have told him it was for Jr Walker Come see About Me. Still someone paid £44 for it, why again when you can have the Outta sight issue for less then £15 if you just want to play at home.
