That brings back memories, I purchased that lp from Violet Mays in Sheffield longer than I care to remember, fortunately in better nick to this day than that copy.

Being from Donny (originally) & going to Sheffield Poly for a few years, I also used to buy quite a bit from Sheffield record shops like Violet Mays (& many others).

Always picked up something of interest there nothing rare but the ones I do remember buying there were the lps " Wanted One Soul Singer" Johnnie Taylor " Boogaloo Down Broadway" Fantastic Johnny C " The Horse" Cliff Nobles and the lp that changed my direction in soul music " I'm A Loser " Doris Duke, never found many singles of note but managed a copy of " In Orbit" Joy Lovejoy.

A few beers in Sheffield a wander round the clothes and record shops, a great day out.

Sorry for going off topic.

Always like a challenge when there's fixing involved... not managed to stop this skipping yet though. Need a microscope methinks.

Time will pass me by ; )
