I quit this year ten years early ( 28 years as an operating theatre practitioner) and Im trying desperately not to go back in..in a nutshell its turned crap, trouble is at 58 who wants you?
Reasons I walked
Impotent shiftless unions
Awful people now (or have i got old) all about one-upmanship with the new generation (those we can get hold of)
Bad for your nerves
24 hour On call at 58 no ta!
And the wages have fallen so far behind, were just a couple off quid off minimum wages
Applied for up to 100 jobs now and zilch, to the point I'm thinking there's loads of fake jobs. Obviously companies like the bug supermarkets, theres fierce competition from younger workers, and there is ageism, no doubt, despite all the platitudes (th
is is the case with one site which is now got a compulsory winding up order)
Just wondering if anyone has also taken the plunge, and managed to stay out (Ive gone back it it twice only for short spells)
