Im sure i will know once it arrives as to whether im greeted with a bell sound stamp,but does this look genuine to you guys?

Thought the boot had 4 prong marks around the middle which looks as though a centre has been pushed out.

You're correct, but I can understand why the question has been asked about this one.

The label is exceptionally clean and the other stuff the guy was selling was either 'reissue' Northern or cheap Pop records.

If it is the genuine article, it was a bit of a bargain...

Yeah thats the early 80's boot,i wonder if this is one of those modern boots?

Yes i won it with only 1 other bidder,at a cheap 195 quid for a mint copy,i must admit i put the bid as a passing glance not expecting to win.

My eyes tell me it's the later boot , the clarity of the print isn't quite right to me epecially in the "Robert Melling Inc." and "Phil Medley .... part and the left hand knave's forehead has a tatty setion between his snout and hat rim.

The corners of all the lettering aren't sharp and crisp as on all four of the images of the real versions on Discogs.

Jesus my mate i bet your a whiz at spot the differece😂 very well pointed out,and i would have to agree! Anyway when it arrives i doubt i will be seeing a bell stamp anywhere on the record!

According to Discogs, there is a 2014 boot of this 45.

These are photos of my copy. The width of the run-in area is considerably wider. So the copy on eBay is likely to be a boot.

Note that the original is quite thick and flexes very little.

Strange thing is, the seller kicked the auction off at £180, so it appears he thought it to be the genuine article.

Alas the record arrived and is the 2014 boot,i must admit if you werent that clued up you could very easily fall for this particular boot! Very impressive indeed!

I reckon a refund wont be a problem,he has no returns set on his page,but im sure that really doesnt matter,I genuinely believe he thought it was an original record,so fingers crossed no confrontation👍
