November 2, 200717 yr obviously the contemplations is a thousand times rarer - but which was the first release and are they both the same take? Same take I think. Contemplations came out first.
November 2, 200717 yr Are there not some variations on label colour etc? Only ask as I saw a few copies on ebay various colours / various prices. Can anyone confirm the differences? Best Rich
November 2, 200717 yr was talking about this once and it was said that Rock Candy had only the one side recorded and nothing for the t'other side. So the Contemplations was stuck on the t'other side and the name changes so that they had two sides.
November 2, 200717 yr CONTEMPLATIONS CAME OUT FIRST IN MARCH 1969 ON DONTEE 101. THIS PLAYS VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL VERSIONS. THEY LATER CHANGED NAME TO ROCK CANDY AND IN 1971 RECORDED A TRACK CALLED I DONT THINK I'LL EVER LOVE ANOTHER. RELEASED ON DONTEE 103. AS A FILLER THEY STUCK, ALONE WITH NO LOVE ON THE B SIDE. HOPE THIS HELPS......A LITTLE. BRI.

There is a weird female psychedelic version of the song by a group called the Darling Dears.
