A friend of mine wants to know who's the singer of "Pain", a song he heard on TheClassicSoulNetwork.

It's a girl, and the lyrics are :

"Pain all I do is feel the pain. Since he said goodbye all I do is cry. And I'm left with a heart full of rain. Tears my face is wet with salty tears. Now that we are through, I don't know what I'll do. And I just think of all the lonely years. He's gone he's gone, he's gone. He left me alone to cry and cry . He doesn't care if I live or die.

He's gone he's gone, he's gone. He left me alone to cry and cry . He doesn't care if I live or die."

TIA

'Pain' by Mitty Collier on Chess

Theres also a great version by Linda Queen - very similar, except titled I Feel The pain.

On a personel opinion, the other sides far better - ''Where can my baby be''

Two different sort of tracks really - I think they are both great myself. Kev Roberts told me he once left several hundred copies of this in some basement in the States

Have the original album on the Canadian RCA lbl "canada international" called Pat Hervey -recorded in Nashville- # is pcs-1021 stereo,...it has 11 tracks on it and is pretty rare and expensive too.

Hello all.

Thanks for all your answers, I was the one who was looking for this song

PS : i found the pat Harvey version better than others... what is the piano playing on it? a fender rhodes ?

An all time fave of mine. Also check "Get out" by Mitt Collier on Chess. Very gritty R&B/6ts Soul. Awesome :ohmy:thumbsup.gif

Mitty Collier by a amile. Linda Queen close second. Pat Hervey version is diabolical.

that's re-assuring, wasn't sure if Pat hervery was the best or not.

Well now you can be sure can't you...
