When the significant one grabs their hat and checks out what would you play first (realizing that most people don't have a copy of "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" in their box)

Would it be sappy and treacly like "If You Loved Me". (Peggy Marh) {if you have one in yer box}

Begging and Pleading like "Won't you come back Home" (Pauline Shivers), "I've Had It" George Smith

Or would it be big, and strong like "I Can Take Care of Myself" (Gene Chandler), Be's That Way Soemtimes (Scientists of Soul), Isn't it just a shame (Kenny Wells)?

If mourning is your thing then try one of the two saddest songs known to man:

Ed Townsend "How could you do it"

Yvonne Fair "It should have been me"

It would have to be:

An awsome record!

Depends on the scenario:

To give you hope: MOVE ON UP-CURTIS MAYFIELD

NF PORTER- KEEP ON KEEPING ON

Mourning the wench: GENERAL JOHNSON- DONT WALK AWAY

TYRONE DAVIS- WITHOUT YOU IN MY LIFE

TERRY CALLIER- LOVER WHERE HAVE YOU GONE/ IF I COULD MAKE YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND

LITTLE ANTHONY- HURT SO BAD

FREDDIE HUGHES- SEND MY BABY BACK

SMOKEY ROBINSON- TRACKS OF MY TEARS

The indignant and better off without her stage: MARJOREE BLACK- ONE MORE HURT

BILLY SHA RAE/EDDIE PARKER- IM GONE. (Even though you are the one dumped the lyrics work "I dont need no woman telling me what to do". That line has given me solace in the past.)

Many more but thats what springs to mind.

eddie parker - shes gone (i know its not the title but its a bloody great record)

Can't remember the artist, nor the exact title, but it's something like:

I hope you'll be miserable without me

Perhaps you mean "I hope you be very unhappy without me"? Versions by Bill LaBounty, Esther Philips and Tavares.

Lots of great tunes but the one going round and round in my head is of course

"Ding Dong The Witch is Dead

Which Old Witch

The Wicked Witch

Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is Dead

Hi Ho the Merrio........."

that's the one.

Now really, can't think really of what i'll put on my turntable.

Usually soul has walked with my on happy memories, and for this kind of situations I'd rather go for other stuff. But I reckon the first choice would be:

In Between Tears - Chuck Jackson (Wand)

I used to play "It Will Never Be Over For Me"........

:yes:Not sure if this title was ever released :P

"You got all the money from the house sale, and the kids, you forced me to sell most of my collection so I could get a roof over my head, you ba****d, now fook off and leave me alone to get on with my life"

Be a right catchy little number though dont you think :D

Temptations - Since I lost my baby

Temptations - Come back my love (I've got a pile of washing up and skanky pants for you to sort out)....

Jo

Darrell Banks - Somebody Else Somewhere Needs You

I agree with the sentiments of this song, & that person is often just round the corner, oh' yes...

Baby Washington did the short version :D ........

Malc Burton

It's got to be 'Get out my life Woman' - Lee Dorsey.

Then again, my wife is the most wonderful woman on earth, so it would be 'Moanin & Screamin' by Diamond Joe - Minit 629 (parts 1 & 2!)

:DNot sure if this title was ever released :wicked:
