I still have mine from the days, with a slight alteration from a 28 waist to a 32 they fit perfect and will wear them again one day...they are the widest bags ever, nothing today comes close and even back then ...Tailor made to my spec...

have you had an elasticated gussett sewn in?

4 inches is one hell of an alteration...

if you do some searches on here, you'll find that there are a few places that sell them - or tailors that will make them

Nah, just measured the waist again there 30" just let them out on the waistband there's no way i could squeeze back into 28 waist. sadly them days are gone.

Last pair I bought were Spencers Bags c/w 40'' bottoms, from the shop on the balcony at the Casino over 30 years ago. I'm sure they're the same firm still going today, and have a website, maybe a worth shout, good luck, Dave
