Back in the 1990s I sometimes used to go along to the Jazz Cafe in Camden on a Saturday night to hear Femi from the Young Disciples dj. He often used to play a "rare groove" style track with a chorus in which a guy described his girl as "hipper than hip". All these years later, I'd still love to know the name of the record. It's not the Tower of Power track & it definitely was not James Brown on vocals. Any ideas? Thanks

if the guy was describing his girl as "hipper than me" it is probably the four andantes on modo. I don't know if that's what you are thinking about or not.
