the new feedback rules only consider the feedback for the last year, so your negative must have fallen past one year

Ebay scoring system sucks. One neutral in the last six months taken me from 100% I had for 4 years to 96.4% and neutral isn't supposed to affect feedback.

Feckin ebay.

Somehow I'm stuck at 99.6% for getting just 1 negative out of 417 positives ...and I've got on 'O' level in maths.

The feedback system is a joke but some of the negative comments are funny. I might compile a book of them one day ..."you're an absolute tosser" ..."I sent five hundred emails and still got no reply" ..."the seller tried to kidnap my children" ..."it took two whole days for the item to arrive" etc etc

...I made those up, of course, but there should be a thread for the most amusing negative feedbacks.

The new ebay feedback % system reflects the past 12 months trading, and disregards previous problems, Ebay have realised that neutrals should not be be counted in any calculations and by the end of August they will be removed from % ratings, But if you took the time to read there annoucements you would all know this.

Thanks Jules but who reads their announcements!? I get so many spoof emails claiming to be ebay or paypal i process them all the same way...the delete key!

But to be honest who really care's if 100% or 99. whatever

Your Percentage rating will not allow a seller from barring from their Auctions.

As to selling, My Rating is 99.8% with two neutrals and I have certainly not seen any reductions in sales.

I STOPPED BIDDING ON YOUR AUCTIONS BECAUSE OF IT!!!!

Actually, I'm the type of person that will bid on the person who has like 43% feedback with the hope of getting that deal from other people staying off. Of course I always get screwed. The star system, although almost worthless, gives you some clue as to what's wrong with the seller, for example if there is less yellow on "shipping time" vs. "item description" you know what the problem is. I don't actually fill out the yellow stars though because the feedback page times out for me when I do. I sent a bunch of problem requests to ebay and just got form letters back, their technical support is the worst anywhere.

Yes, I had one piece of negative feedback (which was clearly retaliatory) and although it was less than a year old it was cancelled out when Ebay recently changed their rules to not allowing sellers to leave negatives.
