Looking to find out about any release's on the day I was born.

11th November 1967

Been a bit of a personal quest of mine so any info would be appreciated.

Yeah, me too, I've been wondering about that one for donkey's years.

Mine's 1st September 1951 - no sarcastic comments like Perry Como or Jim Reeves.

Got to be a Blues / R&B / early Soul record. I know it's pushing it a bit on the early Soul heading. :lol: :lol:

Found Otis Redding released his live version of 'Papa's Got A Brand New Bag' (US - ATCO) on 11/11/68

so that came out on my first birthday.

Just need to find as many soul release's from the year previous now.

(Becoming harder than I thought this :unsure: )

Elaine (my better half) was born on the 12th October 1967, a Thursday. Just the day after, on Friday the 13th October (!), two key soul releases and one pop one were issued:

THE INCREDIBLES: There's Nothing Else To Say (Stateside)

THE TROGGS: Love Is All Around (Page One)

DERC HOTZOG: Church Going Girl (Hamilton)

Not bad for Friday 13th releases!

As a footnote to this, Eddie P, the record that was number 1 in the charts ( as printed in the New Musical Express ) on the day you were born was The Foundations - Baby now that i've found you, It was in the 1st week of it's 2 weeks at number 1 !!!

And Denbo, because they didn't start compiling the top 40 till 1952 i can't help you out with what was number one when you were born, the nearest to that date is Al Martino - Here in my heart, which was number 1 for 9 weeks from 14th November 1952 til 16th January 1953.

Sticking to my mod roots, number 1 the day i was born was The Kinks - You really got me ( 17/9/64 )
