unknown club mid 1980s?

When I originally uploaded this photo in May 2007 I meant to add some comments in the next week or so.

But little did I know at the time that I'd be virtually homeless within 6 months time and adding words to pictures was the last thing on my mind......

If I could rewind to May 2007 this is what I would have said:

I didn't actually take the batch of photos titled unknown club mid 80s and I haven't a clue who did. To be honest I don't even know how I got them?

Whilst I recognise nearly all the faces on there I doubt I could put names to more than a handful of them.

It stands to reason really as most people take photos of their mates and if I'd have taken this shot I'd have probably named most of the characters on there.

As it is, I see Pete Lawson reading the paper, Gilly wearing check shirt in the centre, Gis from Preston with drumstick on the far right with the moustached George Ramonis from Derby stood above him smoking.

I have a vague memory somewhere of this photo being discussed before (Erm ??) with several people adding various names untill a complete roll call was achieved.

'kinell Derek, was there a version of notorious NY club The Continental Baths in the North at that time? Helluva lot of sweaty, mustachioed men squeezed into that wee room. Pete looks like he could have been completely bollock naked! :ohmy:

Yep.. now that is def Gis ! Think this may have been taken at Tonys in Blackburn????

I think its a club in Derby?on the left with denim jacket is Daz Morris,behind him Phil Worrel(just) Dim Dave has the l s d shirt on,stripey t shirt Dave Bentley,shirts off is Greeny,white shirt sucking thumb Gary Slap,denim jacket right of picture Stu Kent.not sure who that is in grey shirt next to me,it could be Mole hes with the right group of friends but cant be sure

Im the same I know everybody in the picture except the lad in the grey t shirt, I am the one in the stripey t shirt, I think this was possibly the day we had the cheese and wine party in the car park at an alldayer at Tudor Court Derby or upstairs Stafford. Definitely not Tonys Empress

Just to set the record straight, this photo is not Tony's and Gilly is correct it is Derby, these are in fact my photos. They were taken at a Sunday all dayer at the 'Blue Note' club the original poster was not present.

Is it not Colin Law? Looks like him to me
