obviously this is a boot and owning a copy of the kent cd"GOLDEN STATE SOUL"it is clear to see where he has got the material from.

without wishing to sound dim here,i have to ask the question....if it was never officially released by the original SAN FRANCISCAN TKO'S why is it so outragous that this guy has got copies and is selling them to punters ,who surely must know they're not original, and yet the copy by the 100 club is fetching big money and is quite ok? did the 100 club get legal rights to the record ?.i get totally confused by the politics of boots?? the subject came up over the TOBY BULLARD record being a boot .if it was never ever released then what is the big problem? i personally think you pay what you will for a record .the value is surely only what someone is willing to give for it.the only real problem i think is the seller not being honest and admitting its not an original release.

is it something to do with soul etiquette that dictates what is and what is'nt accceptible? by the way this seller has a copy of the ringleaders-all of my life on m-pac which according to manships guide was never released on 45, so i took this up with him and got quite a snotty reply saying "has it was never released this was the only legal issue so therefore it is an "original" and other dealers were just sniping at him for doing good business"!

Hi Nev regards to the 100 club single (as with all the 100 club singles) this is a legitimate press done through Kent (who own the rights or have payed for the rights) so this is infact its original press.

Regards to the Toby Bullard a guy who shall remain nameless at this point found a uncreditied acetate of this, and pressed it up on Flodavier but the jokes on the guy because he didn't know it was realesed as the lyrics - so glad on GNP crescendo, the toby bullard was deliberately press up (booted) to fool people into thinking it was a legit record.

Nev, a couple of years ago he said exactly the same thing to me so I pointed out to him that it had in fact already been released on a 7" single, on an allnighter freebie, in perfect quality, so THAT was in fact the original. No reply.
