would do bit awkward to do that right now as this thread is connected to a article and so merging may mess things up and if it did, am not really in a place where could sort it out right now will give it a go at weekend on north east things one memory have is once in early 90s was waiting in car in the metro car park, playing with the radio and tuned into a low strength radio station playing the jobel orchestra followed by an announcement by a dj with a really strong geordie accent and then darrell banks as the signal wasn't strong and given the accent I took it as some pirate thing, was all a bit surreal at the time

in this thread people have posted a wide varied range of views, offering support, advice, various views etc just cause some members views may not be the same as yours or others it doesn't automatically give you the right to start knocking the people making them you are just doing exactly what you are moaning about idea is that we talk about the actual subject not the people talking about it so ask can we drop this bitching and get back to the original subject thanks!

couple of good points from jocko and ian and so have just added a "real public name" field to the profile basically all members can now add their "public real name " and itwill show on the profile to all members there is already a "private real name" field that members must fill in before access but that only shows to the site i will post more later on this in a separate post - as with all stuff like this the hardest thing is making all members aware but now you can now enter your real name here - which then shows on your profile /index.php?app=core&module=usercp

Just a quick word on the initial door opening of a fresh feature here on soul source . Now as part of the site setup we have the early start of an online shop that as well as doing shop things also allows us to offer some new features to the site Features 1. Intergration - as its all part of the site, once you are logged in, the shop can take advantage of all the current features of the site and streamline the whole actual ecommerce process 2. Normal ecommerce features - all the usual run of the mill shop stuff, cart, paypal checkout, images, sounds etc 3. Customer area - does have a fully featured customer area which will make keeping track of orders, support, looking up past purchases a fairly simple task 4. More to follow - as always this is just the first runnings, improvements and new features will follow as time passes, Aim is to offer to members. . 1. The best bang for buck - basically a main building block will be to offer the best deals around for the best quality new releases be it vinyl, dvd or cds etc 2. Keen dispatches - a keen 24 hr turnaround for all sales where possible will be another main building block Running Will be run as a stand alone independent feature and my better half has been drafted into look after it 24/7 and will be dealing with all orders, postage etc. This should bring a rare (on here) element of organisational skills whilst still in keeping with the soul source thrust Features for promoters Can now offer ticket sales for mint members who are involved with events - basically this will form part of the overall event service and will be a service for mint members. due to reasons such as keeping soul source lean and keen pms for mint members are limited to 1000 per member a few members are over or close to this limit topic here has instructions how to delete unneeded pms need any help just use the contact soul source feature at the bottom of each page

may have mentioned it before but those 15 mins used to always be a must listen back then somewhere do have a recording of one of them radio city also had a soul show as well, can't remember that much, run the same night didnt it? can remember a jingle that used to involve a steam train and a platform announcer calling out show title and all the north west towns was that the radio city one?

yep, hearing this for the first time at the ritz was one of those 'what' moments that will always remember, in fact 8 mins of what the guardian has a sort of interesting mainstream look at the track here, https://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2012/may/18/donna-summer-i-feel-love also while perhaps not her finest work, but another memory that stays will be the story line of the "hostage" and the determinded efforts we made trying to decipher what she says at the end sad news
