Johnny Taylor - What About My Love - Beverley Glen
Steve, I thought I bought the last one about 3 - 4 years ago off MusicStack, it was cheap £3ish and advertised as Reagonomics (the B side) but I've gone in my back orders (which go back to 2005) and it's not there? I've had the other one a lot longer. Not sure which one I bought last, I didn't know the differences untill I got the pair out tonight after seeing this thread! I think the one with the darker "brick" coloured Beverly Glen would be the first issue but I'm no expert on these things?

Just dug two J.T. 7's out and both play fine, slightly different label though. - 1982 Damaris - 1983 - Just noticed the bar code, did they have bar codes back then or is this a later press?

I was on the floor at a nighter (last Stoke) when it blasted out at full throttle. It was suddenly elevated to urgent status just about sums it up!

The Four Sonics Plus One
Fuel to the fire? https://cgi.ebay.com/FOUR-SONICS-Where-Are-You-IN-DEMAND-NR-MINT_W0QQitemZ290346756576QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Records?hash=item439a03e9e0&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177 FOUR SONICS WHERE ARE YOU / BLUE VELVET TRIPLE B 0002 Near mint. Plays loud and clear. Some very light edge wear to label (see scan). In-demand Detroit Northern Soul. Apparently one or more of these guys were Lorraine Chandlers cousin's and as you can see by the credits, she along with Jack Ashford co-wrote this atmospheric Detroit killer. Allegedly this actual copy came from Lorraine Chandler's garage which I bought from a reputable dealer some 6 years or so ago after he met and acquired a 50 stock box from her. I can't confirm that with any proof but I know he did meet her and so have no reason to believe otherwise. Nice bit of history of where this originated from eh !?!

Lullaby N/soul
How disapointing, I thought he played it cus it's a great tune. hope he doesn't stop playin' it? No disrespect but Mel Torme got played earlier on in the night and I don't want to hear that at a nighter, maybe at the local oldies night, however, it was a great night with everything to please most. You can't please 'em all. Seems to me goin' to a nighter's a bit like goin' on holiday, some people just want to moan for the sake of it! I've just planted some petunia in the garden and I'm sat here watchin' next doors cat dig 'em up grrrrrrrrrr!

Lullaby N/soul
Yep, David Thomas played at the end of one of the best sets of the night IMHO Like I say, it's all about opinions. It gets played at Burnley and The Wilton and it's great, now it's lulaby? It does it for me but obviously not everybody elses cup of tea. (Maybe I've just got bad taste?) keep smilin!

Lullaby N/soul
All about opinions! One comment in events lookbacks for a nighter a few weeks back was "did a great spot apart from his last record which was far too slow and killed the dance floor" For me it was one of the best tunes of the night and I didn't clear off the floor (must have been on my own?) What are opinions like again?
