Motown Documentary On Bbc2 Now
Thoroughly enjoyable documentary just going to show what a tremendous contribution Dusty Springfield made to soul music with her voice and her actions. It would be intresting to see if any other soul stars had the same reception prior to '65 John

Whats The Best Bargain Anyone Has Picked Up At A Boot Fair/jumble Sale/charity Shop Etc?
Picked up SOS/I HAVE FAITH IN YOU BABY UK Polydor white demo with four prong centre for 25p in a RedCross charity shop in Upton on the Wirral about 10 years ago sold it for £25 afew years later LONG AFTER TONIGHT IS OVER mint Stateside with orig sleeve at a boot sale in Moreton gave it to a friend for his 50th. Loads of Jazz and rare groove albums around the 2nd hand shops in Liverpool during the eighties, particulary Blue Note albums, seems there was no collectors market for them at the time. All dried up now though. John

Twisted Oldies
Obviously never heard it played out, full bass, to a bouncing packed dancefloor at one of the RITZ all-dayers in the mid 70's that maple sprung dance floor would throw you off if you weren't in time !!!!!
-
Twisted Oldies
Used ta think Manifesto was by Blood Sweat & Tears when we first heard it at the Casino 70's soul some of the best sounds around if only for the improved production techniques Funny how no Invictus/Hot Wax sounds never made the playlists back in the day? probably due to the rarity factor
