Well...not much more to be said on that Nighter......For many...that ticked ALL the boxes with a big fat f**k off tick !!! Well done Brent..a sterling job ..leading from the front So nice to see the many 'all nighter dwellers' from around the UK gathering as one.....so so reminiscent of the 'olden' days.....no little groups wandering aimlessly......just one MASS gathering ('controlled with aplomb by Mr Proudlove and chums I must say ) The bar has been raised, the crowds are back, the standard and variety of music has been laid down for all to hear !! The 'Allnighter buzz' so missed of late is back .... and back with gusto The challenge now....match that !!!!!!! ...

The much talked about Boxing Day event was packed !!!, great music and a great 'up for it crowd' We'll only be doing 4 or 5 of these events a year... keeping it special and keeping it real bringing you all your fave Motown, Soul and Northern Soul classics,,,exclusively on vinyl !!! Advance wristbands will be on sale behind the bar at Knype Club from next week 10/01/22 SPREAD THE WORD again ..it;s time for another 'Boogie'
  7. South Cheshire's best kept secret...... Our 1st event of 2022 and we welcome Dione Soulsister and Geese...we look forward to them stamping their musical preferences on proceedings Just a brief reminder to any newcomers you probably won't hear classics after classics to transport you back to those halycon days of Wigan Casino.......you WILL hear Some damn good music though as compensation 🙂🙂🙂 ..in the company of some incredibly pleasant people !! A warm welcome awaits........
  8. I dont think anyones on a witch hunt...no one is that bothered really...its just a conversation not a manifesto
  9. good point...it then becomes 'trendy' which for old people is becoming very attractive......imagine still feeling relevant when you're 60 🙂 ... saying 'choooon' is way cooler than saying Keep the faith you know !!!
  10. Nice record but is up against it with groups of 40,000 plus over on another social media site that are salivating over Archie Bell and N F Porter...and then regale all and sundry about tales of how they enjoyed Wigan..it seems to have become 'de rigeur' to reminisce from 45 yrs ago... Lets hope these people don't realise there are events playing this sort of music going on ...... hopefully they still think its an internet thing 🙂
  11. Oh I agree mate...its just there are 20,000 records to go at (judging from the price guides) and that gives them plenty go at .Problem is NO ONE has heard every one of these records and they are now becoming the underplayed and unheard !!.....:-) ..as long as you can show its expensive lol ...goodness knows why !!!..That Marvels track you mention....plus the flip make it a bargain...but bargains dont get you DJ spots
  12. Nooooo i mean the same 'lot' that were out and about attending progressive nights 10/15 years ago aren't ALL still doing it(maybe disillusioned or simply cant be arsed) ...there are 'newer' people now looking for something different...I'm not saying there are droves of them but a few...just my opinion of course
  13. That could be the case BUT they're playing it to different people...theres a whole new generation (for want of a better word) searching for something a little different
  14. Yeah looking forward to this myself...requested an early DJ slot BUT will not hold back.....expect some good old fashioned 'norvern soul' !!!.... Ist event of 2022 ...lets have some fun.....whilst supporting a most worthy cause...all for a fiver!!!
  15. The strict 'rule change' after 1 am is the main antagonist to events...those finishing before 1am are pretty much business as usual in respect of rules/regs To me it would make more sense to finish before 1am and avoid the legal restrictions around the covid status activities,,but hey ....some wanna go for it...so be it

WOW ...now if Carlsberg did soul/motown nights....that would be up with the best of em.....great turnout, standing room only ....some mighty fine music...well done Phil Ankers for playing a blinder btw ...but more importantly well done to you lot....twas a great atmosphere...so nice to get out and have a 'boogie in Biddle' Well done ALL we'll have to do it again
  16. GREAT NEWS ...Knypersley Club are gonna let us do 'pay on the door' . There has been excellent ticket sales but for people that haven't had the time to obtain tickets....pay on the door is available !!!! 7pm start ...earlier for drinks in the main bar if you want WE didn't have a chance of a 'boogie' last year.....lets not miss this one !!!!!!!
  17. Haha yeah ooops and Scholar Green and Rudyard
  18. Yeah fond memories of the George at Bozlem hey mate On that note we gotta a similar catchement area at Knypersley Milton Smallthorne Mow Cop Congleton Chell Chell Heath Fegg Hayes Tunstall Packmoor Kidsgrove Burslem Brown Edge Ball Green Stockton Brook Biddulph Moor Apologies if I've missed anywhere 🙂 ...just making the point the above towns/villages are within a 5 mile radius ....easy taxi ride on the night Am in contact with Knype Club and they're still dealing with queries over tickets for the BIG night ....... we missed out last year...and things aren't looking great for NYE.......so lets have a BLAST this year !!!!
  19. Knypersley Club....is gonna be THE place to be a cracking night out...LOTS of interest for this from around the area!!
