The strict 'rule change' after 1 am is the main antagonist to events...those finishing before 1am are pretty much business as usual in respect of rules/regs To me it would make more sense to finish before 1am and avoid the legal restrictions around the covid status activities,,but hey ....some wanna go for it...so be it

Well thats it...are we now saying Covid is clever and comes out to play after 1am lol But joking apart...how I read this...is events open between 1am - 5am are scuppered......which means NO allnighters unless someone can show me different Granted venues are open IF you provide proof ..but how they gonna be checked ???? door protocol isn't exemplary on this scene 🙂

Under the plans people going to nightclubs and dance halls, alongside mass-audience events, will be required to show a Covid pass – displaying evidence of either two jabs or a recent negative test – as a condition of entry. Now I'm thinking off Allnighters here..if you read below it would seem after 1 am the 'rules change' How is this gonna effect Allnighters...are they resourced to check on Covid Passports ?? Are venues gonna be amenable to policing this ? Seems to me...these rules are taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut !! The newly published regulations also make clear that other “late night dance venues” will also be required to use the pass. The government has defined these venues as anywhere that opens between 1am-5am, serves alcohol after 1am, has a dance floor or space for dancing, and provides music, whether live or recorded, for dancing.

Yeah problem is nearly every record has some sort of history to it. This invariably brings out comments about , where it was first played, by whom. how much it cost them days etc etc...this feeds the 'retro' attitude...we've all had/have those types of conversations....and whilst our memories are still functioning i reckon it will carry on.....That is of course NO help for the poor young sod who can't understand this 'fetish' that these old blokes have about talking about the 'good ole days' and why cant we just DANCE in whatever way we feel comfortable

Some of the questions/opinions to come out of 'Lev's thread throw up some surprising, yet not far fetched. thoughts What will the scene be like in 40-50 yrs time....No WMC , no high st bars to cater for the scene,,,the dancefloor part of the scene almost none existent Will it go underground...literally cheeky houseparty's where anything goes........ summer festivals (tent music) ? Online sessions like through the pandemic ? Will it become a weekender scene..is it sustainable ? Will it become a collectors scene only ? Come on lets hear some visionary points of view We all agree we need to see 'young bloods' taking it forward...but where can they take it ? Admin remove this if could be integrated into original Lev's thread
