Sandy Hadley Wanted
My opinion... for what its worth... is that this is a hard record. I got mine off Rob Marriot in the early 90s... not seen another for sale since.. but then again.. I haven't been looking. Great tune Just looked it up in Manship's 3rd edition... and it's not there! I'm sure I don't need to mention to be careful... because the bootlegs look identical to the original... except for the bell sound stamp.

Have to admit... I really like 'HIP TEENS'. Although... I must admit that the first time I heard it I was already on the dancefloor before I realised it wasn't Edward Hamilton 'I'm Gonna Love You Baby'- Superbs "i Was Blind"
Nice one fella... I've had this for a while... and I love it!- Northern Soul - Is It Still A Way Of Life For Us All?
... but so true!!- Lovations - Later Baby / Drifting Offshore
Uh oh... does that mean you'll be selling yours now Paul? Its not like you play it anyway....- Happy Once Again, Decent Ebay Wins At Last
This is one fantastic record... Will somebody else please play this out so I can dance to it... awesome piece of soul music- Fantastic B Sides Again
It was played quite a lot actually... a good few years ago now mind... 2 great sides for sure- Record Box Security
Good point! I'll never forget DJing somewhere and putting my records behind the decks as you do... not realising the lights nearby were giving out more heat than the sun! When I went to pick up my box... it burnt my hand... I had a massive blister in seconds! Luckily for me I had just that week got a brand new box which was really well padded all the way round inside. The box was that hot... if it hadn't been for the padding... they would have melted for sure.- Jackie Beavers
What a great thread. Putting the music into context has always been of great interest to me... almost as much as the music itself! Great stuff.... thanks guys- Record Box Security
That's all well and good when you stay in the same place all night Dave. But not so good when you're partial to the odd dance or two!- Record Box Security
Thanks Trev... but you haven't seen my records... ex or mint condition most of them ain't! I'm a bit like the RSPCA... but for records... I take in all the waifs and strays... orphan and abandoned record's nobody else wants. Rare Soul in Poor Condition Association!- Record Box Security
Smaller more inimate venues where you know most everybody there aren't the worry so much. It's the big venues the size of a small country where you hardly know anyone that make me feel uneasy. If the stage can't be seen at all times I panic... it would be so easy for someone to just walk up and off they go. Also... people coming up on stage while you're Djing is a worry too imo... while you're putting a record on... Happened to Ian Cunliffe too while he was DJIng.- Willie Tee - I'm Having So Much Fun
This has got to be one of the best double siders ever... although i very much doubt you'll get one for that price. If anyone's got one for £600-£700... i'll give you £800!- Record Box Security
This has worried me for years Trevor... but more so recently. Not that I'm saying my records are anything special... but they are mine and took years to collect... and at the end of the day... while practically everyone else has a better box than me... these are the only records I've got and if anything happened to them it would finish me. I remember Kenny Burrell doing exactly what you described at a venue a few years ago. At the time I thought it was a bit OTT... but now... I think not. You wouldn't walk into a niter with a bag that contained thousands of pounds in cash... and then proceed to leave the bag on the stage unattended while you went off enjoying yourself would you? Yet you do the exact same thing when you leave your record box unattended at a venue. Scary!- Bargains - All £10 Each
What a fantastic record... and what a lot of soul for your tenner...!- Joe Dunlop

Nice issue... first one i've seen I've got one Phil... played it on Friday... where were you btw? & no... you're not having it!- Request To Dj's
Exactly.... a bit like Rob Marriot? It wasn't that he didn't give a f**ck about what was going on on the dancefloor... because he did. He just believed in the records he was playing... he was right too. I really wish he could have seen for himself just how big those 'floor clearing' records of his became- Request To Dj's
Absolutely nothing. I don't think any one said there was anything wrong with it. Some of us show expression differently that's all... there's nothing wrong with that either.- Request To Dj's
fab days indeed- Request To Dj's
Am laughing here... Just because a DJ is talking... it doesn't mean they are taking notice of the dance floor... believe me! While we are on the subject of empty dance floor's... I remember Rob Marriot had many an empty dance floor to records that pack the dance floor today. Makes me laugh when you see people dancing and raving about the very same records they used to slag Rob off for playing. Thank God people like Rob Marriot had faith enough in those records... and the guts to continue playing them week after week... despite getting slagged off and sometimes clearing the dance floor. You only have to look at records like the Trannels and the Hyperions to realise who was right.- Funky Feet's Chico In Hospital
