  1. I haven't tried it, but... Do you think Blu tack would lift some of the crud off ?? Tony
  2. Don't know that version-but it should sound familiar... it's from the Opera "Carmen" and it's called Habanera ATB Tony
  3. Now I think about it Baggy trousers don't look that bad. T
  4. I suspect the clue lay your (not quite) Nom De Plume T
  5. One of the first sounds I ever heard at The Pendulum in '72, and yes prefer Exus Trek too. Tony

  7. Well, yes and no.. Criticism can be useful, so long as it's not just a nasty dig or that the critic has an agenda.... Tony
  8. Yep, that's the one that gets up my arras-a lot-why are nights considered less valid than allnighters?? There is more than one allnighter that is an Oldies fest, just as there is more than one Soul night that is anything but.... Tony

Not really northen but, one that always brings a lump to my throat and the merest glisten of a teardrop to my rheumy old eyes because it reminds me of my own wedding day in so many subtle ways. Carl Douglas Kung Fu Fighting !!! T
  10. Bigger than ever ?? Kinda doubt that.. at it's peak in mid 70's-Wigan-Cleethorpes- etc on a WEEKLY basis. Any road back to the music, as all have said before too much division nowadays in styles R&B, Crossover,oldies.. whatever... back to basics say I.. just select the best each "genre " has to offer and call it Northern Soul. ATB Tony
  11. Sandy.. you been reading Steve's mind ??? Tony
  12. And another cracker from O.V.Wright " Oh, Baby Mine" Tony
  13. My opinion, and for me only, things like this date stamps, radio station stamps only add to the authenticity and don't mind seeing that at all. Names etc written on the labels do bug me a bit, but so long as it's playable, not that much. I reckon it depends on why you buy 'em- I buy to play 'em, not to look at. ATB Tony

  15. Slight clean of me glasses needed-didn't see the All nighter bit So it that case, what's a decent time slot at an allnighter then now that Time release spansules are a rarity. T
  16. Now this is the second post that has mentioned decent timings--Are you really saying that Clubs book DJ's and then give them the Sh*t times--I don't get that one. At Heywood, best times are between 10.30 and 12.30 I can assure you that spots in that time slot Steve ALWAYS earmarks for the Guests. ATB tony
  17. I'd like to nominate The Kelly Brothers-I'd Rather Have You-Sims. If I may tony
  18. Great record-Don't think they've done many bad'uns T
  19. Another Great tune from Faith Hope and Charity--No trespassin- on Sussex, absolutel Van McCoy magic.. Tony

  22. Oh, yes I did.......... T
  23. Got mine for £30, which I thought was fair, lovely little tune .. Tony
  24. I knew that Miss Madeline was in the Young Folks, but only having her version I didn't realise it was the same recording. ATB Tony
  25. The Miss Madeline version is just as good, and has the bonus of having Behave Yourself on the flip..... Tony
