Didn't realise Mick and Joey were gone. A couple of Characters from the Glory Days Tony
  2. Was the comment by Simon Cowell perhaps ?? Esther's voice is a unique instrument, not to everybodys taste, but thats why we love this thing of ours Tony
  3. Thanks-Garland Jeffreys the one I was thinking of. T
  4. Juniors is one of my favourite records of all time. have the Motherlode and quite partial to it. There's a late 70s/early 80s version on Epic that's not bad, but i can't remember who it is Tony
  5. Good innit? Shouldn't be too dear....... Yet. Hope you get one T

Love this- sounds like the Sky is Falling. Tony
  7. And do both the aforementioned versions have the same backing track as Larry Laster/Atkins/ Ty Karim etc or have we quickly drifted into a discussion of how many versions of "Somebody Somewhere "?? And just for good measure, who used it first ?? T
  8. Wasn't aware of that version-not bad, but not as good as the Model Couple I feel. That the lot then ??? T
  9. Well done to Carms for getting what seems to me a bit of a bargain. Got me thinking though-How many times has this classic backing track been used Larry Laster Larry Atkins(Same fella?) Ike & Tina Ty Karim Any more out there?? Tony
  10. All the best to you Pal. Next year can only be better Tony

Remmber seeing it on the box, pmsl when dj throws a revilot on the decks and Alfie Davison comes out the speakers. Tony
  14. Presumably, that incident occurred last week then T
  15. I can honestly say that in the whole of my "career" I have never been pulled or searched by DS, real or otherwise. I put it down to my Youthful & Innocent looking visage Well, I used to. Tony
  16. Dunno, every one I've seen is an obvious boot, like that one. I know Chip Tyler did work with Billy Vera, but someone with more knowledge than I will have to find the connection Tony
  17. Perhaps a few examples would be appropriate. Where's Salmon when you need him?? Tony

  20. Think I might have that--- MFP or Sounds Superb, Have to check when I get home. . Mind I do like their version of My Love is Your Love Tony
  21. I'd have one if I could afford it, 100 times better than the remix/reissue And 1000 times better than Webbys instro Tony
  22. More likely The Yellow Van Orchestra. Tony
  23. Let's see if I've got this right- The short version-staight into the violins, is the original ? The long version-with the sh*te before the violins is the reissue.?? The instrumental is a figment of Webby's fevered imagination??? I presume then, that the original short version is fairly hard to get hold of which is why I am only hearing the ruined version. Tony
  24. It's been bugging me for a long time. I KNOW that when I first heard it at the break it went staight into the strings, When it got reissued/pressed -at the break before the strings, it's got that horrible organ type thing. And every time I've heard it played out over the last few years it's the second version I've heard.. So, what's the crack ?? Am I going crackers or what?? Tony
