    The lists I'd really love to see would be one of those that got handed over the counter at Manchesters Global. I can remember The Ethics, Tony Hester, Cliff Nobles, Jean Wells, Dean Parrish all under 3 squids, bbut what did they have that we didn't know(then) at £4 and over??? Tony
  11. Well bugger me! I've allus loved this cos it's a class tune, and played it at Heywood early doors a few months back just to hear it on a big system. Is it REALLY being played.?? Tony
  12. Do you mean the version that was played very early days of Wigan?? If so, that was on a cheap UK lp Sounds Of Motown or something similar, instrumental versions of various big Motown tunes, on Hallmark or one of those labels . Tony
  13. I seem to remember it being The Old Grey Whistle Test, they were doing Right On Be Free. also had others like--Bill Withers--doing Harlem, no less, Curtis Mayfield, Richie Havens etc. ATB Tony

  15. Yes my wife to this at Tameside Hippodrome and loved it! Now she's not really into Northern but likes some of the 60's stuff. We are not intending it to be another Northen Night, just as has been said stir some memories and play some stuff that doesn't get out much nowadays. We are looking at a room that could have come straight from "Life On Mars". Any tips for tunes gratefully received. ATB Mr. Pitiful

You know things like, Chain of Fools, Love Man , I got what it takes, I thank You , Funky Street, Top of the Stairs etc. etc and more Motown than you can throw a brick at. We thought we might give a night a go spinning this kinda stuff. Think it'll go.?? Tony
