Yes my wife to this at Tameside Hippodrome and loved it! Now she's not really into Northern but likes some of the 60's stuff. We are not intending it to be another Northen Night, just as has been said stir some memories and play some stuff that doesn't get out much nowadays. We are looking at a room that could have come straight from "Life On Mars". Any tips for tunes gratefully received. ATB Mr. Pitiful

Course you're relying on my memory..but Rufus was one of the incarnations of downstairs at Rowntrees Sound on Cross st. entered via Fennel St. typical 70s club I guess, coupla rooms dance floor in back. Just read Dundeedave,s latest in On the Scene, where he comments on ther being 2 scenes, one for music lovers ,one social. So just a question, if people go for purely social reasons, have a laugh, meet your mates,get a few beers down and don't really care about the music too much. Why does it ruin your night when a coupla records get played that you don't know,hmmmm?? Tony
