Am I Normal?
unfortunately I can go one better than Mikey, a few times I get lost in records at dos and niters, quite happily in my own little word then asking somebody what it was ,only to realise I've got it,true it happens not all the time but enough to make me worry, sad really, wonder what makes that happen ????

crimewatch or a soul site
the word bully springs to mind but when you are a bully you have to be prepared that some people will not let you bully them..........just twat him and get it over with, never liked him, never will, and would love him to spout off in me and my mates company ( but he knows what we think of him up north from the Mecca days. ) ................................................................................ ...................................... am I allowed to say this as we still live in a free society ? , I would add this is my personal opinion on I.L. and I hope does not cause any problems to this site.

crimewatch or a soul site
can someone expand on the susposed reason why he did this ? he obviously ''thinks'' he had just cause but then again he sounds like the sort of kid who wanted the only football in the school yard so he could pick the teams.

Come On, Be A Man, My Son
some very good sound and principled points being made here, specially by Mark and Paulie, believe me there are a lot of people who TOTALLY agree with these comments about so called promoters/fans and to be fair its not just the top of the tree lot who wind me up, further down the local smaller does are poisoned by the same mindset of money , boots, CDs, friends having spots ( sometimes people who shouldnt be allowed within 2 continents of a record deck with what they have to play,) etc etc etc etc etc. but this has been going on for years with people too few to mention who have abused the blind faith of soul fans. I bet everybody no matter what does they go to or where they live can give examples of the purist venues which adhere to the traditions of the music we love and why......and the shitbag venues where you just shake your head and say they just dont understand and are taking the p*** !!!!! still laughing at troubles scenario of snapping the original though.......
-
Your fave 60's POP record
I couldnt live without your love, Petula Clark.......very nearly Northern but a mileaway in reality
-
Come On, Be A Man, My Son
if anybody plays these boots at a do ,just go up and snap them, then see what they do about it.....bet you get more people on your side than the person who plays it, more crack about this at the Wilton next week no doubt.

Another Frank Wilson found
as I have said B4 on earlier post, apparently a few in the US as they were given out at a motown convention but as to how many actually known on the scene........I dont know and I dont care................. OK its rare but all overhyped IMO, also any truth in the story that the very first 2 known copies were pressed at different plants ????????????????? thats what I was told but so much BS has followed this record ( as well as different views on who found it !! ) snap them all .............
-
'Big money' sounds of yesteryear
whats also worth noting is that a lot of people got rid of their originals when they were pressed not realising in fact how rare the record was,Bernie Williams is one example.
-
'Big money' sounds of yesteryear
£30 to £40 was not unheard of,and didnt good old happy chappy Keith Minshull pay £ 50 for the Invitations ? or something like that. JM buy was a bit later than these.
