  3. Hi Mark I know detroitsoulman and he does have these records plus a load of other good stuff, so I suppose he's being a bit cagey to avoid any night time visitors / non-paying collectors! ( actually they're about 20 miles down the road from you, if you don't fancy paying or risking the postage!)
  4. So it's neither the really the Castle Brothers or Soundcrafts then?
  5. what is a nashville matrix? Look in the area where to grooves of the record dwindle out and the label it'self and see if the word 'nashville' is stamped in the vinyl.
  6. No Dan, I didn't mean it's cobblers, I meant cobblers to it because I recognise the singer, but can't place him. Not Ron Matlock, but sounds close. Bill Spoon?
  7. Ady, how true that is, they are always, always bleeding C&W records! Why? You avoid the one with Nashville written on the label buying some odd-ball looking label from West Grand Boulavard, Detroit and it stillturns out to be a C&W song!
  8. This is really peeing me off now, just listening to the 'do' & 'me' tells me it's............cobblers!

In comparison to the others, especially The Pages, probably yes. But they are all seriously over priced and I can get my head around where the market is for such as Eddie Parker being £822 more than an issue whether spun, framed or otherwise I think the bottom is beginning to drop out of the market and chickens are coming home to roost next year, lets hope mortgages have been paid off!

20 years ago it was not viable to bring back 'Vg' records from the US because you couldn't sell them. 10 years ago I would buy stuff if very cheap with a view to getting a better copy. Today all those I left behind are on ebay at daft prices! The problem is that for lot of people, new to collecting, can only afford records in dodgy condition and copies in good condition are either not affordable or don't come up for sale
  16. Tomangoes, as a youth I couldn't stand the Tamangoes! Love it now though. Now it's Joanne Courcy - I got the power, have to leave the room and take a walk outside, but everyone else except me seems to love it.
  17. Roscoe & Friends - Broadway Sissy get a bit frantic at times! Remember speed kills, and I'm not talking velocity!
  18. I had a nice black Philips issue of Big Frank & the Essence which I wish I'd kept instead of my Blue Rock copy, but I was sort of collecting the Blue Rock label at the time and so sold it. I wonder if Philips white demos exist that would be the business!!
