Old Cover Up
This is a sound file from the Stang album #1008, in mono. The bloke who I recorded from said that it had been re-issued in Japan on vinyl which is where I think the above stereo alt take comes from

Winner Or Binner?
I think the bottom line is what do you get out of it; what is the return on your investment for yourself? Usually, people start out being very altruistic and set up sites, swap CDs, run nights for free etc but the lack of feedback, good, bad, or indifferent, starts you to question and ask why bother? How many sound clips, photos, reviews on here get three figure hits without any reply? The lack of comment often starts the demise of enthusiasm for repeating. If you post up ‘CDs or vinyl’ for the umpteenth time, the replies of ‘yes’, ‘no’ ‘get screwed’ lead to the thread being top of the forum section all week. Your sound files are probably falling on “deaf ears” that are listening to them to pass some time; like an episode of some soap opera,” I don’t have to take too much attention today, because there’s another episode tomorrow”. I would suggest ditching the line and ‘buying’ some water supply in Africa with the £300+, you will not get any feedback from this either, but you’ll probably be keeping a lot more faith!

Searching For 45s In The Us
did you find a Shrine 45 stuck to the bottom of a piss-pot? In Chicago I think it was, there was a shop with about six long bins of 7's with out any sleeves @ 50 cents. One record didn't have any labels; in the run out it there was a raised'X' as in Sylvia and fcuk me Shrine! Also, there was SR 104, now what number was J D Bryant?! Getting home and putting it on the decks it turn ed out to be the Cautions Watch Your Step, still it could have been worse e.g.Linda & the Vistas!

I think this can be considered as one of those "ligit releases" from the mid ninties, I seem to remember. I can't remember who turned up the original tapes.- 4 Vandalls
I've only got this diddy one!- What Condition
It really makes me laugh the terrible conditions some people have the audacity to put up on ebay. It’s not long ago when you wouldn’t bring back stuff like that because the risk of paying import duty which would be more than the record was worth! (Taking into account that even cheap records (really worth a fiver) are now 3 + times what they should be in mint condition.) I believe that paying anything near to the going rate for a record in G &VG record is a silly thing to and a false economy; admittedly you lose money on buying a brand new car, but who’s ever made profit on reselling a second hand one that needs an MOT? Maybe exceptions to the rule are the truly rare big ticket items where you have to make the choice on how you want to spend your money and the risk / chances of the record coming up again in better condition for the same price. Crappy labels can be put up with, but worn, chipped and cracked ones don’t get better and ‘heal’ with time. Also, buying records in bad condition for inflated prices, just leads to increases in the prices of the decent ones regardless of transient fluxes in the popularity of the record. Playing them knackers your needle which then knackers your pristine stuff!- Barons Of Soul - You Need Love
Thanks for that Pete. I didn't realise it was in the "public domain". The funny thing is that I actually cleaned that track up for the "acetate Twins" I'm surprised they let it out! Prefer the Irma and the Larks outing myself.- Anyone Know This

Monzas, I doubt it, nobody knows except for Butch, I don't think. That came of a 15 year + old tape which has complete, but bad quality, Diane Lewis, Del Larks on it. Butch must have done it for somebody who duplicated it.- Patti Labelle ?
