Revilot 203 D.banks Somebody Any Infos On Publishing Credits
Hi all, I have 2 copies of this record and after checking the gradings (just before selling one), I recently noticed they had 2 different publishing credits...one with T.M PARMALIER BMI and one with JOBETE PUB. BMI Parmalier has Columbia matrix (ztsc) hand scratched in deadwax, and Jobete has stamped matrix in the deadwax (both are styrene pressings) Any infos on this? which one came first? the rarer one?... Thanks for help Romain

Aaarrgghhh! Wombat Im Gettin' On Life?
I found this record two times in USA...one near Dearborn (Mi.) in 2008 in a car boot sale, and one in North Carolina in 2010 (don't remember the name of the town but near Winston Salem) in a junk shop...and not from record dealers. I always found the same copy...vinyl, "archer" handwriting in the deadwax... It's hard to believe (for me) these records are boots when you know the places I found it... (Note that these records are for sale or trade, if interested)

Couple Of Wants - Willie Hutch - French Rca Also New Designers
Hi Mick, Good luck for the French Willie Hutch's RCA... I'm French, and in 20 years of collecting, I never saw this record for sale (in flea markets, second hand shops or record fairs...), it's really hard to find...a kind of "holy grail" for French soul collectors...(10 times rarer than Seven Souls, Ray Pollard EP or Garnett Mimms "as long as I have you"...) I only saw a picture of this record, it came out on black rca curved logo (with BIEM logo) apparently without picture sleeve (only with black & red French RCA company sleeve) I finally bought the (rare too) US Dunhill copy in USA 2 years ago... Cheers Romain

Obscure - unusual Foreign Releases
Whow...you have all the 56 others Ray Charles french 4 tracks Ep's?...nice! "Mess around" is not so easy to find on 50's original US yellow Atlantic...so the French ep can do it

Cap Nord -French Film - Dvd ?
I've more infos about this movie. My friend & dj Stephane (doc) Yver was behind the musical selection (the secretive)...but he did this 3 years ago!... The movie was already ready for a long time and it went out only recently.

Cap Nord -French Film - Dvd ?
Hi Mike, I'm from France and I've just discovered this movie in your post. There's no promotion for it (apart of few critics in the press)...it's underground, this movie passes in very few cinemas in Paris (so also in France). The lights are at present shot to the Cannes film festival's movies...so there's no really chance for this one to emerge. I'll try to have more infos about music/soundtrack selection...the adviser for the music probably comes from the Northern soul scene (...and we're so little in France) This movie definitively won't be the next "The Artist" (!) Al Gardner - Sweet Baby - Has A Box Turned Up?
Great ad Roburt (I never saw it)...Barclay was the biggest French major company (from his very known founder & the biggest french producer Eddie Barclay...who brought the 45 format in France in 1950, died in 2005)
-
Al Gardner - Sweet Baby - Has A Box Turned Up?
Bonjour Lorraine, Merci pour le message (I love all of your records & productions) I'll keep you informed if I have more infos from him...(but he's not a close friend and I very rarely meet him), but as I said my previous message, I am almost sure he was not in this project. Romain

Al Gardner - Sweet Baby - Has A Box Turned Up?
Hi Steve, Normally yes. I didn't know just only one record on the 4 issued by Googa Mooga had the correct owners authority to release it.
-
Al Gardner - Sweet Baby - Has A Box Turned Up?
Yes,you're right Richard I can imagine illegal uses of distribution of someone else's material was probably common in these times (& now too)...really bad & sad for artists
-
Al Gardner - Sweet Baby - Has A Box Turned Up?
Hi, I'm French (& collector) and in 20 years of collecting I still have not a true answer about Googa Mooga's records. A old french collector told me it was a plan launched by 2 or 3 French soul/R&B fans in the late 60's-early 70's. They had problems to find a major French label...they finally found a very small label called "Hom¨re" which was a tiny label specialised for deaf people (!) & poetry. The BIEM logo on every Googa Mooga labels (and on every French records in the 60's) means that they officially (at the time) declared the records to the French authorities...so these records are definitively not bootlegs. I don't think Gilles Petard was on this plan, but I'll ask him next time I see him. Romain
