You must stop in posh hotels then if they have a safe Whenever I've DJ'ed abroad I always take a very good padlock and chain with me in my luggage (They usually won't let you fly with it fastened to your box as hand luggage). Then when I get to the hotel I chain my records to the most immovable object in the room (Which is usually the plumbing somewhere. HTH

People refer to the Lost Nite copies as bootlegs because there has always been some doubt as to the legitimacy of the labl.l Not claiming they weren't pressed in Philly in the Sixties, or that they have a Frankford Wayne stamp, but did Lost Nite actually have the rights to press them up is the question ?

Could it be that a lot of us have opened our ears, listened, and decided that the music played in Modern rooms bears so little relation to what we know as SOUL music, that it sounds no different to what is played in nightclubs all over the country, that we are not very interested ? IMHO

I've left it a while to say anything because Nige was one of my closest friends on the scene. Many of you will have seen Nige at niters and Soul nights all over the place, and it's the fact that you won't see his smiling face, and appalling shirts again that hurts most. I'll miss his company, and jokes, and sarcastic wind ups, so much, not just at venues, but at the Services in the morning, on car parks, even in my living room. Nothing can be done to help Nige now, but his family, Lindsey, and Nige Brown still need support, so it's to them that my heart goes out. If there is anything I can do, please contact me. Nige RIP, just think of it as a big stage where you get to DJ all night, and play all your favourire records.
