Offensive Language/images On Site
Nice on Mike, where I work, there is a very strict filter on the web. I have noticed recently that sometimes at work I cannot access certain topics, because expletives have been left by a poster, this can be very frustrating........ There is alot of passion on this site due to our common love of the music, I doesn't have to spill over into bad language....

Yes I agree the flip is excellent, and the A side Awesome, I was tempted to let mine go a while back when all the copies turned up. But it's such a great record, and still getting plays........

Deon Jackson - Some Day Etc Yet Again
Deon is one of my fav' artists, I've got a promo poster for "ooh Baby" on the wall right next to the P.C..........Love everything he did, Fav' track for me is "You said you love me ". I try to collect the Crimson copies on Carla rather than the Red copies, I think the sound quality is better. If anyone ever spot a copy of "That's what you do to me" on the Crimson design let me know. That's one I havn't got. JM

Do Big Name D.j's Really Attract The Crowds ?
In agreement there Chalky, all I would say is how do we know if a collector / lesser name can't keep the floor happy if they don't get the chance, alot of it comes down to experience, and the only way to get that is to get beind the decks, I know it's difficult to get the balance and from a promoters point of view, there is a lot to consider when picking the D.J's. I don't know how Ady chose the line up on saturday at the 100 club, but it worked perfectly.

Do Big Name D.j's Really Attract The Crowds ?
Mmm.......Still not covinced of the argument that "Names" bring in punters, I've never seen any evidence to prove it, and I feel the 100 club on Saturday was a good example, no familiar names on there, Musically excellent, and a terrific turn out too. Lifeline actually is one of my Fav' venues, and I think everyone who goes there expects to see the line up that regulary plays there and yes the music is superb........keep up the good work.

Members Suggestions ?
Yes good idea Mike.......... Oldies, Rare, Crossover sections, could work, things sometimes get mixed up in the current format.

Ruby & Romantics....baby Come Home
Hi Chris , Good to hear from you mate, I got that copy about 10 years ago from a Nottingham, YMCA record fair. The guy who was selling it had loads of U.K London stuff, and it cost me a tener. Love the record, and it brings back some good memories of Bretby, which still to this day, is one of my fav' venue's. JM

The Top 3 Northern Sounds In The Uk Are
Interesting list pete, simply because it is not what I would have expected. Obviously peoples tastes are now moving away from the traditional Northern Soul top 500, which can only be good for the scene long term. Obviously there will always be those amongst us are set fast in 1978, but it is refreshing to see some people moving forward. JM

Tommy Yates And Imperial Showband
Yep agree.......One of the wife's fav' tunes also, Would be nice if Dusty Wilson was also around 30 - 40 quid, then I could compare the two. Jm

Live Acts At A Niter......yes Or No?
Hi Stevie, hows Barcelona mate....... I too tend to wander off when the acts are on, last year at Prestatyn, I ended up in the Modern room while they were performing. That's not to sound disrespectfull though. After all they gave us the music. JM

Live Acts At A Niter......yes Or No?
Good point Mark, I must say i've got so much respect and admiration for all the artists, and all the great songs they've given us over the years, However I have to say, I avoid live acts wherever possble, For me I would rather remember them as they were, like the pictures on thier record sleeves, no doubt some of them still have the voice, and sound great, but live acts at nighters......not for me thanks. Weekenders Mmm, maybe to a point. JM
