  1. Terry Davies currently spinning a cracking version of Just Walk In These Shoes. Artist unknown to me, but think it may be CD only. Assuming its rare, can anybody help with an mp3 Cheers Col.
  2. I've seen your handstands And all without a safety net. Col.
  3. Ha Ha - just got it. Col.
  4. Well it made me smile. Getting back to the dancing, I used to be pretty good at the splits. Would dance classes help restore that? I'd stopped doing the splits on medical reasons, but can now see that advice may have been wrong - maybe its just a confidence problem now. Maybe dance classes would also help with my low self esteem? And stop me from saying 'whatever' when I start to get the hump with someone. I'm also keen on mastering the one handed handstand. Would dancing classes help with that or should I carry on with my zen classes on Wednesday evenings? Col.
  5. Futile yes, but quite funny due to strong opinions. We need a bit more intransigence on here sometimes.
  6. Modern dancing instructions: 1. Bob up & down on the spot. 2. Pretend you are dancing at a wedding reception. Col.
  7. And if the lights are too bright, just take 'em out & smash 'em up. Or were you just in a bad mood at Brighton? Col

I reckon that big afro you had in the 70s super heated your brain & has played terrible tricks with both your memory & taste. Col.

"Oh no I never!" (said in a pantomine voice) Col.

Well, I can only think of one record that is worse right now & that involves a tribute to a combine harvester. Col

Yep SITS. I wouldn't give a penny for it on the basis that the lyrics are trite & the record is shite. I would not have this record in my house. It epitomises all that WAS wrong with n/soul. But if you say its worth money I won't argue. You know more about record values than I do. Col.

It was certainly around late 70s, but it was only ever played VERY occasionaly. My recollection is that it was despised by soulies in the late 70 for being associated with N/soul. One of the worst records ever, then & now. Its not worth anything. The guy buying it has more money than sense. Col.
  13. Are there any really good modern dancers on the scene? Col.
  14. Thanks for help. Col
  15. 100% Pure Poison - You Keep Coming Back. Price please? Think it only got released on UK EMI. But reissued recently on Soul Brother records. The Soul Brother reissue looks & plays like a press - is it? Cheers Col.

  17. Can you stick an mp3 up? Col.
  18. You should be selling tickets mate. Some absolute quality here. Col.
  19. Could have been worse Mike. You could have been driving up & down Dean Street in London all night. Now that would have been funny. Col.

Never Let You Go - Marvin Gaye. His first Tamla record?......whats it worth? Col.
  21. Yes, a bit of a daft word. But then most of us are a bit daft. Maybe we should all grow up & use more suitable replacement words like "celebrated" & "pre-eminent" But why bow to convention? Col.
  22. They now treat kids who suffer from ADHD with Ritalin which is a form of speed. It would have been a much more useful experiment if they'd measured what effect the drug had on them. Col. I know a woman who is narco epilieptic & also addicted to speed. What point would there be of monitoring her levels of intelligence. Basically she's screwed up & getting worse.
  23. Welcome to my world. But you can't fail with this : -Marion Love - Can't Forget About You Baby
  24. Bought from HMV a double CD with usual Wigan fodder on + Francis Nero - Footsteps track. I missed the Francis Nero track when it was issued, but was lucky enough to catch her doing a PA in my local pub! Well, everytrack had been re-recorded & was utter shite. The worst was probably Carl Carlton - Competition Ain't Nothing. Despite featuring in the track listing the Francis Nero track was not on the CD Col. Ian Levine has left the building.
