John Manship's Tease Auction
A gold professionals would fit the bill according to the description. It's a double sider, plus it could be described as: The world’s RAREST Northern Soul Classic ORIGINAL! John must have had a gold one one in his hand before though because it is in his book of rarities "Million Dollars of Rare Soul". Richard

John Manship's Tease Auction
So, Mr Royle has posted on Manship's auction FB page that it is "none of the above" and the above suggestions were Frank Wilson, Combinations and Sandy Golden - so it isn't any of those Cheers Richard

Ronnie Mcneir - Sitting In My Class - Deto
Dee & Joe "Instant Happiness" is proper Northern Soul. The flip "Alone In The Chapel" is proper Deep Soul. The Attractions - Burn Up Some Road (Back To My Baby) is proper Northern Soul I rest my case Cheers Richard

Oddities On Respected Soul Labels
Would say Dearborn was not predominantly a soul label. There are some great soul records on it, but many of the releases are other genres including garage and a shedload of Polka. Richard

Four Tracks -Like My Love For You
Sorry folks but I still don't see any evidence of this being a Detroit recording at MagicCity. Sounds like, might have been, this person knew that person ... Mel Collins - Chicago Giant rather than Detroit Giant no? I know it's a grey area. Everyone tells me this is a Detroit record but I think it's an Ohio record - I got a downer on it Never liked it anyway Richard

Celebrities (Boss 502) Brilliant Detroit
Hi everyone The Celebrities - You Didn't Tell The Truth (Boss 502). ** SOLD ** THANK YOU Rarer format with labels the correct way round. Price is £185 please. Great, great Detroit record - the drums are top class. Nice ballad on the flipside as a bonus. Condition-wise please see the label scans, photo and listen to the soundfile. If pushed would probably grade this VG+ to a very nice VG at worst (actually bought off a UK main dealer as M- which it sure ain't!). Plays great and please bear in mind it's a rather primitive recording. I have a minter and it sounds very similar in quality. Payment by PayPal as gift (family & friends), cheque or cash please. Postage is £2.50 UK Recorded Delivery or £7.00 UK Special Delivery. Overseas at cost. No quibble money back guarantee if not happy. Cheers Richard Click on pictures to see larger images

John Manship's Tease Auction
Suggests this is something that is available somehow but not as an original and official vinyl release (maybe just on tape, as an acetate or a bootleg). Something like "Sweet Sherry" on a 45 (but then I have been told there is an original US vinyl 45 of this, so maybe that's not the best example). Cheers Richard

Oddities On Respected Soul Labels
A couple of examples from the motorcity with predominantly soul labels with other styles that stick out like a sore thumb are the Decisions on Topper and Dickie & Ebb-tides on Golden World. Cheers Richard

John Manship's Tease Auction
I reckon it will be a one off thing - probably West Coast Cheers Richard

John Manship's Tease Auction
Surely it won't be just a different format of something, but will be a single known copy thing? Richard

Some One Is Going To Be Dissapointed
Yes, now I see both points. This is the link that shows it is actually for sale. Think Ted's link was just in the discogs bit of discogs. The link below is marketplace. https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=4135339&ev=rb Cheers Richard
