  1. Bobby Garrett Boot £104- ? The seller asked, on the listing, for info about this record, when I contacted them to inform them, they replied saying that they intended to ignore the fact that it was a boot , purporting not to know the difference between styrene and vinyl . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181912943907?_trksid=p2057872.m570.l5999&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI181912943907.N36.S1.R1.TR3
  2. Excellent news. I hope that she gets some comfort in the knowledge that her recording career has not gone unnoticed. Well done.
  3. Positive response received no longer available. Thanks
  4. Oh crap! https://www.ebay.com/itm/WADE-FLEMONS-039-TWO-OF-A-KIND-039-039-JEANETTE-039-NORTHERN-SOUL-RARITIES-/331651317490?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
  5. Well here's another relatively common oldie that continues to beat expectations; Bobby Garrett My Little Girl : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Northern-Soul-R-B-Bobby-Garrett-My-Little-Girl-/121752539665?ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en&fromMakeTrack=true&autorefresh=true
  6. Can't say that the seller is pulling the wool over anyone's eyes , but why in the world is Ramsey Lewis worth £300. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks https://www.ebay.com/itm/like/121733935833?item=121733935833&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466&rmvSB=true
  7. Here's another one that is bonkers IMOP.. The seller has not misled in any way, it is a legitimate sale, Linda Jones, UK Warner Bros issue: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231607224502?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  8. Sadly many of us were fooled into thinking that these were legit in the 70's. Should make £25 , though you never know these days, you could get lucky! Best Mick
  9. I always thought that this was a bit odd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PlLVqrGlRg
  10. Not disparaging this as a comedy sale, but I'm amazed at how much this fetched on issue. There's definitely no hope for a ewd folk collector like me at these prices, ah well: Ray Pollard: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391172060104?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Don't know if this helps but click on the links below to see what Popsike is showing for the results of E bay auctions. These don't come up very often, so values may wildly fluctuate, dependent on who's got the cash. Of course with rarities like this, especially if in excellent condition, Manship might be the best bet. You must be aware that E Bay will take their cut out of these Values: Chubby Checker - Just Don't Know UK CP Demo, Ebay highest £886- Nov 2014 This was for an issue, no DJ showing Jerry Jackson - Rough out there UK CP Demo, £240 Oct 2012 Tony Middleton - Ends of the Earth UK Polydor Issue £622 Oct 2014 Personally my advice is, unless absolutely desperate, hold on to these rarities. Having been through the process of selling off my UK collection in the past, I know that I'll never be able to afford to replace such gems. Good luck anyway. Mick
  12. Nothing funny about this except the bidding as the description is spot on. I've had three copies over the years and am very much tempted to put my last one up. The Tempests LP, GBP 360.69, see here.
  13. Prices goes up by the day on this one. I'm not sure that anyone's mentioned some numbers differing on the two releases. One has what looks like ZDR 53438 above the release number F13555, whilst the other, which I take to be the re-issue, has ZDR 55438. Mind you I do need new glasses.

  15. Sam Williams Grapevine Demo £150 ?
  16. Nothing wrong with "Name it" in my book either. I wouldn't sell mine for £75 as I bought it off the shelf, when it was re-issued. The latter being the point, these described as originals, are actually second issue due to Casino demand. Everyone has their price though and I can think of at least 3 tunes I'd like to buy for that hundred quid.
  17. Another punt for a Micky Moonshine described as original, here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121590087911?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26ghostText%3D%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D121590087911%26_rdc%3D1
  18. Yes the catalog number on the Decca originals were one digit different (i.e.the number above the Release Number F 13555). i.e.ZDR 53438 NOT ZDR 55438 Mine is a defo the second issue, following Casino demand. I have never seen an original though, come to that. Here's one though: https://www.45cat.com/record/f13555
  19. Micky Moonshine price boost.
  20. As I understand this thread is highlighting the folly of some buyers. I would add the proviso, that most of us sharing our thoughts here, are unhappy about the number of modern day boots advertised on Ebay, of which this disc is possibly an example. The fact is that if buyers were more sensible they could get a carver cut of these tunes to play at home for much less than they are paying for some of these contemporary copies. Although it's pretty obvious, possibly due to both the lack of expertise, that they don't enforce it, in so far as Northern Soul Vinyl is concerned, the fact is that E-bay's trading policy outlaws the sale of copies and boot's of any branded/copyrighted product. Anyway I don't think anyone is actually accusing you of misleading buyers. Some folks have more money than sense, good luck to you.
  21. lol!
  22. I would tend to agree. Thank you.
  23. Here's one of the boots/re-issues with the instrumental on the flip. If anyone else has any info on the provenance of these it would be interesting to know. https://www.popsike.com/JACKIE-DAYARTHUR-WRIGHTbefore-its-too-lateinstroNORTHERN-MODmirwoodLISTEN/230865453946.html
