Find This Nutcase
Like you've said Steve re the "moddun" stuff.... or as was then known, before the term "moddun" was ever used, "newies".... an oldies and newies niter/soul nite meant summat totally different back then .... they were what peeps called "progessive" at the time.... I seem to remember the "die hard" gang known as the "Preston Street Dancers", who used to move of the dance floor at Clifton Hall (Rotherham) quicker than a "chicken pal" left your arse after a curry, stay and "do their stuff" to such sounds in the day .... My thoughts are that these so-called "moddun choons" fit "nowhere" today.... too "new" to be "northern" and too "old" to be "moddun".... hardly ever hear them these days.... But I think we've had this discussion numerous times before somewhere Steve .... It's all the "politics" that still go on within "our scene".... I prefer to refer to ALL this stuff as "BOLLOTICS".... but then again, this stuff keeps "the scene" ALIVE, a la these.... :Fck_off_by_nulltarget: ....

Nah mate.... it's always been OK up to now.... no probs with owt.... just "seems" to be of late.... i.e today for me.... could be ISP "overload" with downloads, know peeps knock the WMP but I've had no probs since being on "net" for last 8 years with the various upgrades.... same as RealPlayer "knockers", I ain't never had probs .... This must be one of your "JetAudio" plugs again.... sure you're not on commission .... WILL get it sorted though .... never been one to"shirk" a challenge ....

Not quite sure why Chalkster.... BUT.... like billytheboot's "wav" file clips in his "sales/wants/event" post.... it "buffers" or "skips" or "summat" and WON'T PLAY .... Even if you "right click" it and select "save target as" to download and play straight in Windows Media Player via your own PC it does the same.... Get the following message "pop up".... Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. Seems to only be happening "of late" and to "wav" files.... as when check to make sure got "latest" of "all to do with" WMP it gives the "yes, all up to date" message .... Perhaps Mike can "troubleshoot" this little problem .... or perhaps "we" should just "upload" mp3's or RealAudio files as they don't seem to be a problem .... Soz mate.... can't "hear" it properly although seem to "recognise" it from the "bits" that do play before I get the WMP message ....

Does This Make Anyone Else Mad?
Seem to remember this "discussion" a while back Mike.... mmmm .... Didn't you say then what you've put here.... summat like.... "if putting up eBay sales link then put list here as well.... can easily be copied and pasted so no lengthy typing to be done.... people can then see if interested in looking in first place".... Based on that principle I seem to remember it being the consensus of opinion then ....

Soul Communicaters On The 'bay
Yeh Rich, I know..... l-p and b-b/g-r.... I was referring to l-p putting stuff out every week so people became very warey.... where as b-b/g-r tends to filter the same tune slowly so keeping the are they/aren't they debate ongoing....

Geater Davis
And thinking about it.... I must defend the "big ones" who have come to Ponds Forge as a guest.... they played "what the f*** they liked" irrespective of cost and it was a pleasure to have them.... ....
-
Geater Davis
That's because some people get behind the "wheels of steel" and "think" they have to put on the "big ones" in case somebody comes and haves a look at what they're playing ....
-
Soul Communicaters On The 'bay
My thoughts exactly Ian .... knew summat had happened ....

Geater Davis
And how many "cheapo's" DO get overlooked because of the fact they are cheap.... too many....

Soul Communicaters On The 'bay
If it wan't for the fact that the O-N's were up every other week then this could almost be believable.... same as his Singing Swinging Counts.... will have to wait and see re the rest.... although I find it quite strange that the "seller" has taken them all down .... did anyone e-mail him or does he read this forum ....

Chiristopher Cerf In Torture Shock

-
Chiristopher Cerf In Torture Shock
Brilliant.... Even when taking curser backwards (or forwards) through the quoted bit in this reply it changes and goes forwards (or backwards)
