I'll be getting this, the old volume has been a huge help in piecing together the L A soul and vocal group scene for me. I'm sure the info has been greatly expanded and corrected since that last book. However I would just say that nobody's work is definitive in this area. I recently had a soul fan from another forum let me know of about 10 "mistakes" I'd made in a sleevenote. On checking there were no mistakes he'd just been using the Soul Harmony Singles book as his source and I'd found later information that contradicted and corrected that.

Its from about 1969 I think (I'll have to check, it's so special its a bit hard to gage)but wasn't issued until the 100 Club anniversary dance of the date. The official P date of a record has to be its first release not when it was recorded.

I keep bringing mine down the 100 for Simsy and forgetting to play it, if I spin it tonight will I get accused of bandwagon jumping? Its a very good record but needs a few plays to get into it.
