Is it me Pete, well it cant be as £400+ speaks for itself, but when it comes down to prices for rare UK 45,s why do I think that's cheap? for this record, or am I to sentimental when it comes to real hard to buy records, as my DEMO is mint - , and its better than Roy's, and he thinks the same as me why sell this one and who to..like the GM i like to know were records land up, and do the buyers of rare records truly understand what a rare record is? well done i know that you are happy with the sale and that's what counts at the end of the day DAVE KIL

KEELE IS DEFANANTLY OVER FOR MICK AND SO IT WILL BE OVER BY KEITH, THE PLACE WAS REALLY TO EXPENSIVE FOR THE AMOUNT OF BROS & SISTERS WHO DID "KEEP THE FAITH"? IT A BIG SHAME AS THIS WAS IT,S 20 YEAR, AND A END OF AN ERA ALL-NIGHTER SHOULD OF GONE AHEAD? RESPECT TO EVERY BODY WHO WENT TO KEELE IT WAS AS GOOD AS WIGAN AT ONE TIME DAVE KIL

  6. I could not help but notice that Pete S is selling his Jon Andrews on EBay...No matter the situation i would not part with the crown jewels, as there may be a recession but rare is rare to me? I have always regretted that I sold the best of my US collection due to Thatcher Te old Bag. DAVE KIL
  7. HOW VERY SAD TO HERE THIS NEWS, I First met Chris at the Casino in the early days, even used to sell HBS for him, He pathed the way for the advancement in Soul music in many ways similar to Dave Godin, He did great write up,s in Black Echos (there is a issue that he writes about myself at the Casino, if any body has a copy of that article I would be most appreciate it?) There was much going for the late Chris, perhaps the fact he started the concept of Record Fairs would be a fitting salute, I remember Mick Smith and myself going to I think the 1st one in Cambridge in 77. "God Bless you Chris R.I.P". DAVE(DTHEDRUG)KILWORTH
  8. Hi if you are thinking of selling it, it is a big want for my collection. DAVE KIL
  9. THE B SIDE OF THE TRA-LA LA SONG BY THE BANNANA BUNCH? IS SURE DAMM FUNKEY.. IT,S ON PAGE 1 RECORDS. DAVE KIL
  10. I First met Ian Levine in 72, and by 74 my opinion of him never changed, he is a nonchalant self centered individual, who only acknowledges you if you ave something he wants?. As I said when I first joined Soul Source in a posted article about a incident at Blackpool Mecca regarding his arrogant treatment of Tony Jebb was enough for me. Leopards and spots comes to mind, all I would say is watch this man and don't underestimate what deviancy he could do to your reputation Mike?. Remember Lavine is S**T. DAVE KIL
  11. I CAN,T ANSWER THIS ONE..HOWEVER WOLVERHAMPTON RECORD FAIR SAT 5th SEPTEMBER, WHEN I SEE Mick Smith I WILL ASK HIM? DAVE KIL.
  12. HOW ABOUT "WHY DID YOU DO IT" BY STRECH - ANCHOR RECORDS ANC1021, AS A BRILLIANT NON FUNK - FUNK SOUND? AS FEATURED IN THE GREAT "LOCK STOCK AND 2 SMOKING BARRALS" FILM, I HAVE JUST PLAYED IT, AND FOR A 75 SOUND IT HAS EVERYTHING GOING FOR IT, THAT,S PROBERLEY WHY IT WAS USED IN THE FILM? DAVE KIL.
  13. Tell me if i am wrong, but did these label STAN and ALL-PLATNNUM form the basis of the Sugar Hill sound/label and house music, and there is a connection from te Moments "Jack in the Box" to the reference of "Jack the Body" and new Jack City, in the HIP-HOP scene? ROOTS DAVE KIL MC.

  18. I Forgot to mention, this is a great label to collect with many classics on it such as:- "9 Times", "I,ve got the need" "Shame Shame Shame" "Hypertension Pt's 1-2" "Jack in the Box" "Girls" "Dolly my love" "7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (Blow your whistle) and my personal fave Lonnie Youngblood "Gonna Fly now" great stuff and much sampled, The great thing about the UK All-Platinnm is they can all be picked up for about £30 at Boot Fairs and Record Fairs (Reminder Mick Smith is at Wolves Record Fair next Sat 5 th September). And if I remember correctly was there a LP with all the hit singles on it? and I am not sure how many titles of the 45s had paper label? Dave
  19. THIS IS WHAT MAKES ME LAUGH,HA HA TEE HEE I AM ALWAYS SEEING ON SOUL SAURCE QUESTIONS LIKE "WHATS YOUR FAVOURATE .... OR "LIST YOUR TOP 5 INST WHILE DRIVEING TO WIGAN" AS A PERSON WHO LOVES SOUL MUSIC AND UNFORTUNATTLY NOT A GOOD DANCER, I TOTALY AGREE WITH TR, THIS IS A GREAT DANCER, AND AS A COLLECTOR, THIS IS THE SORT OF RECORD THAT ALL COLLECTORS SOULD OWN, IT IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW OUR MUSIC DEVELOPED, INTO HIP HOP, AND THE MODERN MUSIC SCENE, I AM STILL AMAZED THAT PEOPLE WHO TALK ABOUT SOUL DONT LISTEN TO IT PROPERLEY, "IT,S A GROOVE THING"?
