Just been sorting through a few records and played this. What are the origins of this and who are the vocals actually by and when and where was it actually recorded? Besides this , Festival time and To win your heart are there any other versions.

Another record with wierd and wonderful noises is Human jungle by The Fugitives complete with Tarzan sounds and a baby crying at the end. Havent heard this for years. Brilliant!

Depends on the hours, pay and company pension. I've heard the current moderators are on £20 an hour , work 100 hours a week and retire on full pay when they are 50. So yes.

Certain things are taken for granted and when they are taken away it is hard to imagine life without them especially when they dont cost you a penny and give you superb enjoyment and pleasure at the expense of someone elses hard work , time and cost as is the case with The Soul Club website. So I think a big big thanks is due to Mike Hughes for Soul Source who has provided this superb outlet for the past few years which has given so much pleasure and information to anyone who has been lucky enough to be involved with it and in my opinion has played a major part in the progression of the modern day rare soul scene and should be totally appreciated for this. I've got this Lp somewhere and if no one else lets you know in the meantime I'll dig it out and put a soundfile up as well. I think its called 100% tailored for soul or along those lines if I remember.

Dont really know how you define deep soul but as for Colins first suggestion of Eddie Holman flip this over and listen to the superb I'll cry 1000 tears. As good as a double sided gut wrencher gets. I think I read somewhere once that Eddie sings this with such feeling it leaves you in a physical emotional state after listening to it! But for me it has to be Roy Hamilton - Reach out for me , if there is a better soul record than this I have yet to hear it.

I've just posted 3 female tracks up in the sounds section and I have to admit the female soul vocals do it for me all the time ahead of the male. I dont know what it is but the female recordings just have that little bit extra over the male soul wise. You just can't beat a good girly track in my humble opinion the ultimate one bieng Got to have your love by The Sapphires or Set my heart at ease by Mikki Farrow. Soul heaven. What do you prefer male or female and what is the ultimate male or female track.

The only ones interested in them in 30 or 40 years time will be those who inherit them , and their only interest is how much they will get for them if anything. They wont be kept for sentimental reasons either , believe me.
