Patti Jo On Ebay
It's what is known to Vocabers (which will mean nothing unless you know what Vocab is - see funk board for more) as 'A Lucky Sami'. In other words, ebaying £40ers and getting twice if not three times that, almost everytime.

Big List Of 45's All With Clips
Big list just gone up at https://www.soulstacks.com/ Too many to mention here and a quite a few holds and solds which will be ironed out in the morning. Not that much northern but lots of other good stuff.

Great Finds
Tommy Dodson on Main Sound for 50p from the Record and Tape in Shepherds Bush circa '99 wasn't a bad find (also picked up the John McCain on witchsbrew in the same sitting) Sold Dodson to Japan for about £350 a year later - sure I saw the self same copy on a record store wall in Japan! Hardly a find as such but the Black Truth Band on ebay for under $25 wasn't a bad result - that also went to Japan for a grand a few years later.

Deep Funk And N/soul What The Funkin' Hell
Well, he was on the the thread and having a look yesterday but I guess chose not to get involved. Would still be good to see a playlist to see what the offending tracks were.

Exportations - I Want You
See Anglo have this as an auction item starting at £250 - is it really now an auction item and worthy of that start price?

Deep Funk And N/soul What The Funkin' Hell
In musical terms yes a lot of funk and Northern stuff does mix - it's proven by nights like Soul Spectrum in Edinburgh which blends and plays a broad spectrum of sounds, with almost equal emphasis, to a mainly young, non-NS scene audience who clearly love it. Obviously the kind of northern that is played alongside funk is chosen so as to not seem like it is just just thrown in at random. In Northern scene terms obviously not, to a larger degree. Growing up with soul music over the past 10-15 years and growing up with northern over the past 30 odd years, there are some pretty different ideas about how the spread of black music fits together. Would be interested to know which funk records were played.

Deep Funk And N/soul What The Funkin' Hell
- Very Rare Uptempo Double Sider- Apaches Listen
Apaches is on Big 8, Earl English is on Six Toe.- Brief Enconuter (capitol Re-issue, Boot Or 2nd Press Around ?)
Great two sider but I'd be amazed if it had been booted...it's only really been picked up in the last 6 months or so - that popsike one looks proper so if yours looks the same I shouldn't worry.- Gold
Superb record and pretty damned hard to find!- King Tutt 2nd Issue ?
Sounds like it's a recent press(?) Mine came from the US some years a go so safe to say it's an original, even though the FWTC is on both sides, like a lot of others here. Also never doubted it's vintage as it looks like an old record. If there was paperwork with the represses you'd assume they're legal reissues, but where are the rest of them and who did them...any idea? Were you sold it as an original or reissue? Intriguing ,all this- King Tutt 2nd Issue ?
"picked this up in Italy and it is a limited press as I have seen all the paper work." What paperwork do you mean David? Any idea when these were done (or when you picked it up?) Is it an Italian job? Any idea of quantity or any more floating around? Cheers- Oh No
https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php...rice&thumbs= That's 66 copies documented just on Popsike alone...how long before these stop selling and come down to $50? "I have come across a couple of these records and will be selling them" hmm, for a couple read, more than a couple...- King Tutt 2nd Issue ?
"the original only has fwtc scratched on the A side" Is this right? If so when did these 2nd issues appear?- Epitome Of Sound - Sandbag
Got a real one, near mint, £100 registered post paid.- Image - 'we're Moving' -verdy
If all else fails you could try Craig Moerer - got one at $110 at the moment, though seems a bit steep...usually see them around about £40- Spg Loveland
Nothing other than it's 40 seconds longer than the '45 - did you win it off ebay? Girth showed me the scan...must be hard!- Jt Brown
Shouldn't be too much - £20-£25 or thereabouts - most likely still have one, will PM if so- Rideout - Someone Special (on Hotlicks)
Good price, killer record- Darrow Fletcher / Lucille Mathis
Not sure if there is a book price but I think I sold my near minter for £150 a few months back and had a queue for it - great tune that probably has more exposure on the funk 'scene' at the mo.- Trace Of Smoke, Cheap ?
My pal sold his minter last month for £1750, that one on ebay works out at about £760...or if you're paying with paypal as bit more cos they're robbers. Still the ebay copy was a vg and a cracked copy sold for nearly £450 earlier too so it's probably about right with the time of year and everyone being skint.- This Week's Sales - Election Day Blowout
Strange, bought a record for about a fiver from him last year (may have been earlier this year) and it never showed...something about the entire batch going missing - couldn't really be bothered to wrangle over a fiver seeing as it was a fiver and if the post lost it, it wasn't his fault, but reading this thread has got me thinking...- Jewel On Ebay
In the spirit of bonkers prices this surprised me! £25 tops that one. Sometimes it seems the idiots all hit each other with their wallets and whoever's got the most left after 7 days, wins. - Very Rare Uptempo Double Sider- Apaches Listen
