Great write up. I love how this event has evolved and is now very much a soul weekender, but still evokes the culture links and euro influence that its always been connected to, and helps show off a great city. Both venues for this years events are superb. I absolutely loved jabez Clegg last year, what a place!!! There will be some fantastic rare soul played all weekend of that there is no doubt. And don't be fooled by the words chill out on Monday. It's starts chilled out, and as with any 'enders' session of a weekender it gets more and more frenetic as the day goes on.

If northern's your thing then these 6 pieces of vinyl should definitely float your boat!! They're all in great nic, and i've been quite tough on grading. Most will clean up even better. Someone's obviously found a little box of the Sonia Ross as the same ebay seller listed 3 in last 12 months. £800 is about right. Her sweet soul rarity is better and cheaper, IMO

Off topic, but 100 records for a 1 hour set should be enough (Dj should know vibe of the place, type of sounds and crowd before entering the room having spoke to promoter)! Taking say 2-300 records usually ends up with people playing safe and going to their same reliable winning records. Or worse still, playing an all over the shop set because they're trying to trawl through 300 records in between a 3 minute song. 100 records makes you think a bit harder, and that doesn't mean pre-planning a set The blakka boxes are indeed top notch. A box Callum described costs roughly £65-70 I think. You can have them custom built to whatever size and style you want, or their standard sizes if you don't wanna splash out too much. For comfort and protection of your rare expensive and damn right precious vinyl it's a sound investment, and in my view a no brainer to have a good box
