  1. Thanks for the response guys! Not entirely unknown then it seems, but fairly unusual and rare I guess. It does look very nice with that Decca label.
  2. Was just digging through some records sorting out new stuff to put on eBay, and came across a turkish DECCA copy of The Volumes "My Kind Of Girl" b/w "My Road Is the Right Road". I'm often amazed by the stuff that was released in Turkey during the 60s, but this is one of the stranger ones in my opinion. Is there an obvious connection between US Inferno and Decca that I fail to see? Did this 45 ever get a UK release? Some scans:
  3. Here's more info about US "steppin" if anyone is interested: https://www.steppersexpress.com/about.htm
  4. Only about 2-3 hours left on these auctions now. Thanks for looking!
  5. It sold for £186. Here's the auction text: Appreciations - I Can't Hide It - Pye Acetate Colony Records, Hurts Yard, Nottingham the proprietors of the short-lived Destiny label, had this incredible monster Northern Soul tune scheduled for #1016. Ads for their future releases in Blues & Soul, Black Echoes, Northern Noise etc in 1978 confirm that, but it never got past this ORIGINAL PYE ACETATE stage. We believe this to one of only TWO ever made. THE ultimate UK collectors 45, with the USA original being a forlorn and very expensive quest. Here's the scan:

Great tune. I really like the Isley Brothers version as well (US LP-only, but issued on a 7" in the UK).
  8. There's a version of this tune by King George as well. Only issued in Denmark. Not as uptempo as the other versions, but still decent.
  9. Hello! I've listed a bunch of 45s on eBay. There are label/sleeve scans and soundclips to all records. I guess so. More end results: 2008-04-23 - $75 2008-04-16 - $52 2008-03-29 - $84 2008-03-18 - $71 2008-01-26 - $65 2008-01-06 - £51 2008-01-06 - $62 2007-12-20 - $60 2007-12-12 - $56 2007-11-25 - $69 2007-11-15 - $68 2007-10-28 - $102 2007-10-13 - $75 2007-10-07 - $100 2007-09-18 - $75

It sells on a weekly basis on eBay for anywhere between $50-$75. Here are the three latest copies that sold: 2008-06-01 - $57.65 2008-06-01 - $71.00 2008-05-23 - $53.00 So I'd say a value of £25-£40.
  12. I would say that this is one of the main reasons (for me personally at least). If postage was cheaper from the US to Sweden I would be buying cheapie LPs all day long!
  13. NICE!!! Thanks! Great tune.
  14. That's 13% all in all. If you had recieved the payment outside of PayPal, eBay's cut would've been 9%. That's not very much in my opinion considering the exposure and service that eBay provides. I know other websites and dealers that sell rare soul 45s on behalf of others who charge more. There aren't too many comments about that on here though.
  15. That's a decent price. Most copies sell for £75-£125. Manship auctioned a "still sealed" (stapled in upper left corner of the sleeve) white demo of this just the other day and it fetched £529...
  16. It's also not: Walt Love - Let Me Come Back Home
  17. Just listened to a clip of that one, and it's sadly not it.
  18. Well there you go... Thanks for checking though!
  19. Just found a slightly longer clip here: https://music.msn.com/album/?album=40311888 Doesn't sound like the tune we're after I'm afraid, but you never know, it's over 6 minutes in duration.
  20. There's a tune called "Home To You" on a Dan Carey album from 2001 which it might be. The preview clips I've found have only got the 30 second spoken intro so I don't know for sure Anyway, it's here: https://cdbaby.com/cd/dancarey But you have to download the entire album. Each track can however be downloaded at eMusic, but I don't have an account with them: https://www.emusic.com/album/Dan-Carey-My-S...d/10846818.html Can anyone else download it and see if it's the right tune?

This is actually 7083. 7063 exists with scripted design on vinyl: 7061 as well, but this time on styrene:
  22. Are there any other solo releases by him apart from the ones on Becket and Gimme Five? I just read that he was a member of the Delfonics during the late 90s and early 2000s and is featured on some albums from that time. Have anyone of you heard this material?
  23. 2 days ago a copy sold on eBay for $32. Craig Moerer has got a copy for $100.
