Monday's Sounds - The Arctic Label
I wish more music sounded like this. Absolutely bloody superb tune and a big favourite of mine!

Monday's Sounds - The Arctic Label
Love Addict - honey & the bees - arctic 16039 refosoul MONSTER TUNE! Yes, my copy looks like crap, but it plays like a dream and cost me $10 so...

Shake That Thing - winfield parker - arctic 16038 refosoul One of my faves on the label. Far superior to the Honey & The Bees version in my opinion (released as "Baby Do That Thing").

Willy & The Mighty Magnificents - All Platinum?
Considering that I seldom play out-and-out stompers at home, the demo is fine with me as it has got the best of the two tracks on it. Saying that, I wouldn't mind an issue copy. Will not ever pay £300 for it though.

Willy & The Mighty Magnificents - All Platinum?
£30-ish should get you one, but probably goes cheaper on eBay as there isn't really any demand for it despite being a superb tune. Have seen it for more though, one copy on Gemm right now for $140.

Willy & The Mighty Magnificents - All Platinum?
It's quite hard to find as it is only included on the issue copies and goes for about £300. The actual "a-side" which can be found on both sides of the much cheaper demo copies is another great tune though and well worth checking out. Soundclip of "Take My Love" below: 14380 refosoul

Thank you everyone! Really appreciate the comments.

Most Expensive 12?
I agree. Don't want to get into an Abba discussion here, but in my opinion they did lots of good stuff. Genius pop music at times.

Most Expensive 12?
I guess you're thinking of soul related stuff... but the most expensive 12"s I've seen sell are pop/rock related. Stuff like Madonna's "Erotica" picture disc, U2's "Out Of Control" and Abba's "Sang Till Gorel" - all of them £1500+ pieces.

You Better Stop It - barbara mason - arctic 15869 refosoul Noticed that this fine funky crossover 45 is selling for quite a bit these days!!!

You're My Baby (And Don't You Forget It) - reflections - golden world 15866 refosoul Didn't know if I should post this up or not, as it is pure pop or maybe more of a "mod" tune with a blasting organ break etc. But I really like this, and it's on a collectable label. An extremely cheap 45.

So Much Love - faith hope & charity - maxwell 15865 refosoul I've been playing the shit out of this track during the past week. Van McCoy goodness on a 45 which under no circumstances should cost more than £5. I love this!!!

New Cover Up, Known?
It's a nice tune but I wouldn't want to hear it in a soul club. I wouldn't mind a copy of the 45 though.

New Cover Up, Known?
Me too! Don't cover up records.

Love Never Looked Better - trilark - handshake 15762 refosoul Here's a soundclip if anyone wants to hear it.

I've Always Been Told That This Isn't Available On 7" But
Probably about 6 years ago there was a discussion about it on the Essential Modern Soul mailing list and many said that it was LP/12"-only. Can't say that I've been chasing it, but was happy when I found it. Cost me $8. Do you have the issue copy with "Sweat It Out" on the flip?
-
New Cover Up, Known?
It's "Find Myself Another Girl" by The Sonics on the Valmon label.

6:20 is bad enough... Nah, it's all good, just splitting hairs here. I wouldn't exactly COMPLAIN if I heard the 12" version somewhere, it's just that I prefer the shorter mix. Plus it's cheaper!

I've Always Been Told That This Isn't Available On 7" But
Here we go again. I don't like the long version. It's a stereo/stereo demo copy with the same tune on the flip.

Mixed Feelings / Dennis Edwards On Manship ?
What's all this £100-£165 talk about the Steve Karmen 45?

Double Exposure's "After All This Time" isn't good enough to last 12+ minutes. Some tunes are, but this one isn't. In my opinion it's perfect at 3:58 length as it has got the key features of the tune and comes off as the good pop song that it is. We obviously differ in opinion and I'm sure we can argue about this at length. Just my opinion.

Bay Brothers Info ?
I absolutely LOVE that tune!!! AOR it might be, but also very Hall & Oates-ish.
