  1. John and the Weirdest Edwin Starr - Time/Running back and forth
  2. On the feeder today - first two are a Goldfinch, last one a pair of Bullfinches
  3. One of my faves too Dave, an absolute gem of a track. RIP Frankie
  4. I think you're being a bit harsh there Pete. If I was selling an item for £2k , I would certainly feel a lot more comfortable with meeting with someone face to face, handing over over the item and receiving the cash, rather than sending it halfway around the world, with the possibility of it being lost, damaged, a possible scam for chargeback, and save on the paypal fees too. A no brainer!
  5. Gerri Granger - I go to pieces
  6. Get the album and you'll get the sublime ' I need to see you again ' too
  7. Frederick Hymes is another
  8. Royal Esquires - Ain't gonna run - Prix
  9. Newbeats?
  10. Unless of course one of the stalwart DJ's on the scene has a carver made from the CD, then that's perfectly acceptable play out ........
  11. I sold one for £10 a few years ago, which is about right for a boot
  12. No CD only, there is a white label 7 boot knocking about though. Great tune
  13. Here's another from him. Only £110.00 overpriced https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OJays-Ship-Ahoy-12-Philadelphia-International-Records-PZ32408-NEW-INTER-/400478589190?pt=UK_Records&hash=item5d3e625106
  14. Remember this getting plays late days of Wigan, covered as James Conwell. Was it A Searling play or Rushbrooke, or both? great tune, always loved it
  15. Second time on CD. First time was a Drunken Monkey CD :-)
  16. William Bell - Man in the street. £5.00 for one of the best records ever, it's a shame it's not a £1000 tune, it would get played out every week if it was.
  17. Surprised this hasn't had a mention yet. My fave istrumental Instrumentals = great Northern. Not Soul though
  18. Anyone reading that blurb would know it was not a full on Northern night
  19. Yes that's the one. It's got Kenny Bobien - Hiya Luv, Byron Stingily - Spread Love, Ultranate - Wonderful Place, Joi Cardwell - Be yourself. All great tracks
  20. Great to see the Chris Ballin track posted. The album has to be one of the best ever British released soul album. Pure class
  21. F*ckin brilliant tune, and by far the best mix too. The part after 5.00 minutes, is one of those bits of music that you get lost in, and it takes you to another level. Love it The album this came off "Keep Hope Alive' is one I play all the time and never tire of hearing. No fillers on that album!
  22. Suzanne Vega and DNA - Tom's Diner You've made me think of that, it'll be in my head for days now Da da da da da da da da da da da da daa. Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh!
  23. Erm Why do venues not have CD players ? It's not because they're cost prohibitive to buy. It's down to OVO policy, which effectively dismisses many great tracks from being played, unless of course you're a stalwart dj on the scene, and it's ok to play a bootleg of one
