  4. Look closely ken it says WHEN......
  5. And your reasoning behind this is?? Like I said initially, when most collectors (who are now probably the wrong side of 50) are dead, where is the demand going to come from. Where will new collectors come from at the same rate as the ones dying??
  6. Cheers pal, I want that Herbs record back
  7. just talking to myself as usual Ken Dont worry I'm used to it Seriously I havent read anything to convince me that there will be a comparable demand for soul records in say 30 years time. It reminds me of all the times I've heard people say "put your money into bricks & mortar, the value never comes down" ...... Yeah right When I've kicked the bucket, my kids will be increasing the size of their inheritance by selling my records to China or Eastern Europe? sorry...........
  8. Only one bought so far on the back of hearing it on a cd - Malcolm Dodds - Come See The Sun Loads more wants but it takes a lot of time to get through that many cd's and absorb it all - lots to look forward to still. Thanks everyone
  9. At some stage in the future they'll all be totally worthless. Supply and demand gets quoted alot and in 30 years time when most of us are dead - guess what? there wont be any demand. The number of new collectors will in no way keep pace with us lot throwing off our mortal coils. If I was relying on mine as any kind of investment I'd be getting rid sharpish

What would Rob have been playing off then Gareth? He packed in 15 years ago, wouldnt this have been before the japanese cd? I though that was when it first came to light. Only really heard andy dyson play this out a lot, what does he play it from - chalky? Also dont think the fact that its not had a legit release should stop it being played out,
  11. So was it just the straight constellation design that was booted John?

Good post Jayne. While I dont want the music to be too low, lots of venues from small soul nights to the big all nighters just have the volume way too loud. Like you say very often the level is perfect and then a dj comes on and cranks it up distorting everything. Often when i've been out its pointless trying to talk to me the next day cos I cant hear a thing. To those who mention dancing in front of the speakers -tinitus is not pleasant trust me. Also I see peope talking to each other in venues and think how the F*ck can they hear anything? I normally just nod my head and smile - after asking someone to repeat themselves 3 or 4 times I give up. Steve, ears f*cked after 20 years in the pit and too many nights out
